Re: Double cut out jr. vs Billie joe jr.

Both should do just fine. The Doublecut probably has more of a vintage sound due to the old fashioned single-coil pickup. Some say the P-90H the BJA Junior has doesn't really sound like a P-90 but I haven't tried it so I couldn't say. The case that comes with the BJA guitar is bad ass though :P. Leo...

Re: Tokai Guitars - your opinions

Hi! I use a MIJ Tokai LS85 which is basically a '56 Goldtop LP. It's quite heavy but lighter than an Epi LP I've played. I've got nothing bad to say about it really and people who own Gibson Lesters and a local guitar builder have also said that it feels and is built better than some of the Gibson S...

Re: What the heck is this?

Yes, lowenzz is right. It's a Duesenberg. They're German guitars with a bad ass Art Deco look and I've heard good things about them. Haven't had a chance to try one out though.

Re: Opinions on P-90 pickups

Thanks for the tips slowpokerhino. Lower output humbuckers seem like a good option but I have also been thinking about humbucker sized P-90's like the GFS Mean 90 or Dream 90 pickups. The price is very wallet friendly and I dig the looks too. Does anyone have any opinions on them or any experiences ...

Re: G&L Legacy

http://marshallvintagemodern.com/images/smilies/badass.gif It's nice to hear you're happy with your Strat! G&L seems like a great brand and an ASAT or a Legacy would be cool to have someday. G&L guitars don't seem like they're just copies of Fender guitars because Leo was actually involved in makin...

Opinions on P-90 pickups

I play in a "semi-classic" rock band with two guitar players and both of us play guitars equipped with high output humbuckers. I play lead stuff and have been thinking of switching to P-90 pickups for some extra clarity and bite. I'm not a fan of high-gain tones when it comes to playing rock but I'm...

Re: 2266 Hum on power

Thanks for the warm welcomes! I haven't used any pedals with the amp, just my Dean V79 which has relatively hot humbuckers on it so it's not single coil type noise I'm getting. I use a Fender Gold cable to plug it in. I haven't been able to check if it has the spacer because I keep the amp at our ba...

Re: 2266 Hum on power

I was also wondering if the buzz could have something to do with the stock tubes because when I go into the High Dynamic Range the buzz gets about twice as loud! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: 2266 Hum on power

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and I own the 2266C. It also has this loud and constant buzz on it and it kind of annoys me. It could be one of the older models so maybe I need the aluminum spacer too?
