Re: VM 2266 demo - Cabinet edition

exellent vid, it's rated 5 stars, because of the good quality and exactly what I should have seen before i purchased my 425A it's a brite/bright cab, and on my guitars without tone knobs, they are brite already but heygh, it's about that vid - EXCELLENT- you must have spent several hours setting th...

Re: VM 2266 demo - Cabinet edition

Well I figured I should do a little "community" service since I have gotten tons of good advice from other members here. And yeah this is the kind of video I would have liked to see before I got my VM. It was quite a physical job as well lifting those cabs in & out. Some of them up and down stairs a...

Re: Aleluia!!!!

Now i can't belive who people say, about the VM don't play Metal and hard songs, because i play metal with VM, or this problem is mine, if just i think that is true that with Vm we can play Metal and etc? Well Metal is a fairly wide field but yes I agree the VM can handle certain fractions of metal...

VM 2266 demo - Cabinet edition

Well what could I do next ... :Stir
I thought it would be interesting to try the 2266 with all my cabinets.
Same guitar and same volume setting. Amp settings pretty basic.

Re: Studio Tour

Thats a pretty nice studio setup you got there.
I'm especially impressed on how nice and uncluttered everything is ... usually in a studio setup with this much gear u have cable spagetti & just stuff all over the place.

Never seen Mr Big live but if they come to Norway I'll definitely check them out. Seems they have a new live video out soon: http://www.amazon.com/Budokan-Reunion-Tour-2009-Blu-ray/dp/B002DRAPO4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1252915697&sr=1-2 He probably uses VM on this recording if so it should be f...

Re: Favorite Celestion Speaker?

I don't think the Lead 80s would be a good choice for the "Slash" guys. Probably better off with the V30s. lol Slash uses V-30s ;-) So if you want to sound like him the V-30s are probably gonna be closest. Myself I've had great success with Jensen C12-n's, but in the future I hope to get my hands o...

Surf has some good points. Keep practicing and work on your timing .... rhythm playing is essential.
You are talented so keep at it !

Re: Who here is using a VM for regular pro gigging?

I've used my 2466 with my Ozzy-era Black Sabbath tribute band since its release. I've had no issues with the amp, apart from a valve going down once, (which can happen to any amp). Its totally reliable and I still smile every time I hit my first chord of the sound-check! :Thumbs I also have the 226...

Re: 1988 Marshall 2550, JCM 50/ 25W

Are Jubes seriously worth that much ? They are cool and all, but take the whole slash hype outa the picture and what do you have left. Well, u got a hot-rodded JCM800 which sounds pretty good to me .... I love mine, both the JCM800 2203 and the Jubilees. I agree that the Slash angle probably is a t...

Re: VM 2266 - 10 Guitars - Same setting

Now you see why I still prefer using the JCM800 with this particular band. We play a lot of 80's rock as well (Van Halen, Whitensake) so this amp is perfect. I am also surprised that it can handle funkyer stuff ... but with my Stratocaster it just fits. I use 1960 with Celestion G12T-75 and those sp...

Re: Any updates on the upcoming Gary Moore Amp???

There's nothing to tell really, it's a work in progress and Gary said it all in that interview as far as what it will be. As if I needed another Marshall...... Ya'll need to just chill with all these awesome amps for a while. Build a few duds or just revamp something solid state that I won't even l...
