Re: Robin Trower and 2 VMs!!!!!!!!!!!!

Going to see Robin, Jack Bruce and Gary Husband tomorrow night at the Shepherds Bush Empire. Can't wait! I've wanted to see him since I was 16, which is a very long time ago! I'll let you know if he's playing VMs. Cheers. Wish I could be there. I've only seen Gary live with Allan Holdsworth. He's a...

Re: Seriously contemplating trading my DSL50 for another 2266...

One of my next big purchases music wise is going to be another 2266. I'm undecided whether to run one clean and one dirty or just use it as a backup. After my recent escapade with the valves I'm thinking a backup may be a good idea! Agree. I have the 2266 and will definitely get another VM in due t...

Re: Sweet Home Alabama Improvised Jam With VM

You guys know what I mean now by you can't really hear my rhythm players Randall 400 watt V2 next to the Vintage Modern? He was closer to my laptop mic with his 4x12 than I was with my 2x12. Yes, the VM just cuts through the sound scape like a knife. Another amp that does this as well is my JCM800.

Re: New Marshall Class 5 Amp

I recommend you try one 'in the flesh' for yourself before you pass judgement. Don't forget that 5 watts is half the volume of a 50 watt and it has the facility to connect to a 4 x 12 for extra oomph! (technical term :winking ) I'm sure it will be LOUD enough but still ... I guess i'll try it out a...

Re: New Marshall Class 5 Amp

It seems to me that they were just marketing it for jamming at home and recording. :think Jamming at home yes... recording NO ! I don't think I would use this one for recording ... not enough balls ! But a fun bedroom amp ... I might consider it but I already have a better one in the Silver Jubile ...

Re: opinion about Jcm 2000

Hi! What you think of the Marshall JCM 2000 DSL50? Think it is an amplifier that is worth buying? The DSL is different from the VM in many ways but it's absolutely an amp worth buying. I have both. The JCM2000 is probably one of the most popular Marshall amps so there is a lot of happy owners out t...

Re: 1936 question

If you already have a 1936 there is no reason to buy the 1936V. Just change the speakers. It'll be cheaper & the same thing (except for the little nameplate thingy, and I bet you could even find one of those online if you really wanted it). Sounds good but the 1936 is brand new so I think I will be...

Re: 1936 question

It's not so much "down on the G12T-75 " as they just don't sound good with the VM. :sick They sound pretty good with some other amps. Yes, they still make the 1936V but in most cases you would have to special order it. Well it certainly makes sense to use Vintage speakers in the Vintage Modern .......

thank you for having placed your material will be available. One thing that has tried and could not find, is the transaction of Drive to clean (such as if in the middle of a song and had to distortion and had to put in clean, by regulating the guitar) to check whether I is clean with a normal or ve...
