Re: Marshall 2466 NO sound. At all.

Dont need a bias meter.
There are biasing instructions here on the Roadhouse that use a standard multimeter to set the bias.
Just be careful and dont touch anything apart from the bias points.
Done it myself many times.

Re: Re tube

Some power tube failures can cause other components on the PCB to fry. Can look like they have been burnt, but may look not far off normal.
One for your friendly amp tech to detect.

Stumbled on this.

Awful cringe making 'We're all family' chat from Terry Marshall.

It's all about money!

Re: Re tube

Chinese tubes are the way to go.
I'm pretty sure when the Vintage Modern was released, it was factory fitted with Shuguang KT66's rebadged as Marshall.
Sounded Great!

Re: Wannabe 2159

I don't think it would have had G12M or G12H speakers as two of these would not give you 100w handling to deal with the amp's output.

Re: Wannabe 2159

I cant copy it but there is a rear view picture of a 2159 on a guitar auctions site. Supposedly one of Bernie Marsdens old amps. Picture shows G12T75's. Re: How the hell did i miss this band?

I played in a rock covers band for over twenty years and we did a stack of Lizzy numbers.
Great fun to play and absolutely brilliant when you take the time to work out their trademark double guitar harmony solos.

Re: Another Voice Gone!

Guys like Glenn Hughes or Steven Tyler must be extraterrestial, considering how the sing (= treat their voice)! Agreed. There are still a few of that generation ho can still do it. For me, Paul Rodgers is still one of the greatest voices in music. What is wrong with the Bon Jovi situation is the fa...
