Re: New JVM410HJS Demo

Amp sounds 100 times better than this failed demo. Soon as I saw the Bass controls and Resonance wound up I knew it would blow. Guy needs to do something about his hair

Re: JVM410hjs vid

Very good and fat sounding. Sometimes a bit old AC/DCish. Great playing. You should do a demo like this using the crunch channel also. Just recently bought the TC electronic Flashback delay sounds great. Great amp wish it looked like an old 1959 though. Thanks! sooner or later I'll get to doing ind...

Re: New Member - YJM Channel 1 boosted with built-in boost

It's normal. Remember, the built-in booster is a basically a DOD 250 or 308, a very trebly pedal. Channel 1, top input on the amp is very trebly. Combining the both is, IMO unuseable for the tones I look for. IMO when using the built-in booster, the only way to get a good sound, to my ear, is jumpin...

Anyway to try it with the volume much louder on the amp? The amp didn't sound that particularly loud, as the raw guitar strings were almost louder than the amp. :beerme
I was sitting next to the camera. Amp was fairly loud

Re: YJM100 conlusions

This is a '97 Hendrix Strat into a Univibe clone into the YJM. Top Left Input, Volume dimed, Power Reduction a bit more than 9:00.
This is the perfect Jimi clean/dirty tone, IMO.

Re: YJM100 conlusions

Got no problem getting "Metal Panel" ( it's not a Plexi, btw) sounds out of the YJM at any volume. ANY amp sounds better turned up, big revelation there. Re: Santiago about the EPA?

As to the booster, it's trebly like the DOD Yngwie uses. I had the Analogman YJM-308 as well. Same....trebly. I keep both knobs on the booster full up. Bridge the channels and run both Volumes on 10 (full up) then I dial in the amp around that.

Re: 425A Cabinet and YJM-100 ???

I run the YJM thru the Vintage Modern 4X12 cabs. I got a straight and slant. Currently running it thru the straight cab. They got G12C's, the same speaker they used in the Hendrix JTM 45/100 cabs. I think it's a great combo. I love Greenbacks [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuOWabGIORk[/yout...

Re: Went to buy a jcm800, came home with this.

I've found that the YJM likes to be set up and not messed with. It can be set for great tones with boost on, or boost off, or in 50 Watt mode, or 100 Watt mode, or various levels of EPA....but it's not the sort of things where you can epect to change all of those things on the fly and expect everyt...
