2525h effect loop

I've noticed the 2525h I have doesn't seem to like my strymon el capistan pedal very much. The delay sounds really quiet, even with the level turned all the way up. It's sounds fine when used through my badcat so I know the pedal is good. My line 6 helix sounds absolutely fine with the Marshall so i...

Power valve bias.

I was planning on changing the valves in my 2525h including the power valves. Does anyone know if this amp needs a re bias afterwards. I've looking inside and can't see the bias trim pot anywhere. So I can only assume the amp is cathode biased. I've never been a fan of stock Marshall valves. Cheers ...

We really do!! It's got worse since we voted to leave the EU also!! Les Paul's have always been very expensive over here though!

Re: The Jubilee family

I used my new 2525h at practice tonight. I used the homemade 2x12 loaded with v30 speakers that my mate has in his studio. It took a bit of tweaking to get the sound where I wanted. But the rest of the band loved it. Worked much better on the 20w setting. The amp sounds very different through my Bad...

Re: mini jubilee turning up today.

I've been looking at the matching speaker cabs for it this evening. I was going to go with the 2536 with the v30's. But have just noticed they make a vertical 2x12 also. Seems to be the fashion these days! Has anybody tried the vertical 2x12's, if so how do they sound over the standard style 1936 ty...

Re: mini jubilee turning up today.

I carried on playing after I wrote the comments earlier, before I had to go for work. I'm really liking the amp. Feels like an old friend already. I've ordered the tad 7025s valve to try in the v1. Not that it sounds bad. I just like to mess with stuff! On my old sl5 it made the amp sound more full ...

Re: mini jubilee turning up today.

I might add though. The rhythm clip sounds much better when the amp is in 20 watt mode and cranked a bit. Thickens up nicely. I've tested the loop too. That works well. I popped my strymon el capistan into it and it works well. I might change the preamp valves over in the amp. I used to have the sl5...

Re: mini jubilee turning up today.

Just give the mini jubilee a run through. I'm very impressed! It's felt very familiar seeing as it's my first Marshall for a while. I'm running to through my Badcat 2x12, which has the Badcat proprietary speakers in and is open back. It sounds very good but I'm sure it will sound even better with a ...

mini jubilee turning up today.

My first post on here for a while. Just bought a mini jubilee head, which is turning up today. Can't wait! Bought it from memory as I tried one last at a guitar show in Birmingham, UK earlier in the year and was very impressed. Will be the first Marshall I've had in a few years as my main amp is a B...

Re: Blackstar HT-dual vs Fulltone OCD

I have the blackstar ht boost. While the pedal is good, I think there are better boosts out there. The ht boost is only usable in a few settings and I thought it muddies up the sound of the amp, it does give one giant kick though. I think the zvex super hard on, and the twinstomp boost work better a...

Re: Slash wah pedal sounds like shit - help!

I use the 535Q crybaby. I love this wah, i took back my slash wah and got the 535q instead. You can get any wah tone with it. The slash wah obviously works for him, but thats sometimes the problem with signature pedals. I'm with Surf though, i'd check out one of the fulltone wahs. I'm yet to use a f...

I use the mxr micro flanger and think that its really good. I'm of the same opinion as you as i prefered it to the van halen flanger too.

Re: Would you put a tremolo pedal in front or fx loop of VM?

I'd do the opposite and put the trem pedal in front of the amp. I only tend to put reverbs and delays in the loop on my amps as this works best for me. There are no hard and fast rules though, so try both ways and see what works best for you. As a rule of thumb i have always found analog pedals work...

Re: Fulltone PlimSoul

Just got a plimsoul last week. i love the ocd but thought the plimsoul sounded better with the vintage modern, in both LDR and HDR. I actually went to buy the fulldrive and prefered the plimsoul. I tested it against a suhr shiba drive, keely moded ts9 and ts808 and against the hw ts808. If i hadn't ...
