Re: Would you be interested in a JMD2

The beauty that became these amps was the drop in price to unload them. :dunno Agreed , drop in price made them much more attractive for new buyers on the fence and already owners looking to take advantage of an additional purchase. I would even go a step further to say in some cases people benefit...

Re: Would you be interested in a JMD2

Id be interested in checking one out ...but it would have to be pretty spectacular for me to purchase one at this particular moment. Reasoning behind that statement , I am just really, really happy with the (now 3) that I have. I would admit my additional purchases have been somewhat influenced by t...

Re: Head box

Agreed ,shielding would make better sense to me now that I think about it. Appreciate your input. Sourmash looks good , though still contemplating doing my own , with an all wood instead of tolex look. Still on the fence about it , as ive stablilized the case for normal road travel. I picked it up o...

Re: Head box

Thanks for responding Mike , I agree it must be heat ... I dont see how it would facilitate any grounding.

Head box

So I've scored my 3rd JMD , a 100 watt head off eBay with a cracked box. The amp itself was intact and no apparent damage visible,,,played for few hours to test out all functions,,,everything is good. The box had Both bottom joints separated and the rear bottom plastic corner caps cracked as we'll, ...

Re: Weight Savings of head/cab vs JDM Combo. I don't get it

Actually its over 68 lbs,,, My 1936 only weighs 54 lbs and the 50 watt is 34 lbs. Its just a personal preference , I just dont dig leaning to one side with an awkward weight anymore, id rather carry a somewhat balanced, lighter load. Im at the age (50s) where picking up a quarter off the ground the ...

Re: Looking to buy a JMD102 Combo

I own the JMD102 and the JMD1 50 watt head , I bought them in april of the year they were released , largely on Surf's recommendation ( a purchase Ive never regretted). My opinion in deciding between a head or combo... Do you like the sound of open back cabinets (combo) or closed enclosures (2X12) ...

Your not by any chance the Dieter from Germany, who used to mess around with modding the Digitech GSP2101 back in the day? I realize it must be a common name , thought I would ask. Re: well i have gone and done it now

Yeah I had a box issue as well... The UPS driver urged me not to take it .
But I took her anyways and after tightening up the 4 main retaining screws (as the amp was swinging back in forth in the cabinet) I crossed my fingers and powered her up. Never had a problem.
