Re: Finally get a YJM :)

Glad to see you got one and are obviously enjoying it.
I returned mine but instantly regretted it, and after about a week I reordered it. It arrived this morning.
Im sure the dealers (Coda music) think Im stark raving bonkers.

Re: New owner. Not liking treble channel.

Well after spending over a week with this amp Ive decided I love it. Had problems at first with the combination of a high output guitar (evh wolfgang) the booster and the power attenuation. Ive since got hold of a rock crusher which works great with the amp, and now Im enjoying the booster to full e...

Re: New owner. Not liking treble channel.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Got hold of a Rivera Rockcrusher and am much happier with the amp now.
Much more 'squidgy' power amp distortion.
I like the epa from about 1 o clock upwards.
The Rockcrusher works much better (for me) at heavier attenuation settings.

Re: New owner. Not liking treble channel.

Had the same pronlem. It´s the Booster/Overdriver that boost treble on the tone. Try using another type of Overdrive pedal when using only the upper bright channel input. Or try the amp crancked with an attenuator. :shredder Yeah, I really like the openness of the treble channel unboosted, but hate...

Re: New owner. Not liking treble channel.

Thanks for the replies guys. Ive discovered its the EPA. Below noon I have to use the channels jumped which sounds fantastic with the boost on, but a little too fat for me with the boost off. Opening up above noon makes all the difference to the treble only channel and it becomes much more usable wi...

New owner. Not liking treble channel.

Hi New YJM owner. here. It arrived this morning and after spending a while scratching my head trying to get a decent sound out of it I finally got there. Using a Les Paul and an evh wolfgang guitar, I can get some great sounds when the channels are jumpered and the boost is on, but only if the 2 vol...

Re: Gig with JMD.

Add me to the 'middle age' club. 50 and still gigging. Finding the late nights a hard slog nowadays but I can't imagine ever stopping. Been playing out in bands since I was in my teens.

Re: New AFD 100

Thanks guys. Put in a new jj tube. Sings like a baby now. What an incredible sounding amp. Im absolutely loving it. The power scaling works very well. Im using it about 12 o clock, with the master at about 2 o clock. Perfect rehearsal volume and it sounds as if it is running at full throttle. Lookin...

Re: Finally, Chris George gives us a demo of AFD100

The effects loop works very well as a volume boost (like a 2nd master volume), whether you put any fx in there or not. Ive got an mxr delay in there with the return volume on the fx loop wound back a bit (10db is a bit too much for me) and it still gives a nice kick up for solos. It is footswitchabl...

New AFD 100

Mine arrived on Monday. Im really pleased with it. Fantastic sound. I didnt expect much from the 34 mode, but it really is killer, the perfect Marshall crunch/drive sound, and at full gain a great lead sound. Around 7-8 on the gain gives a perfect blend of 800 grind (34 mode) and perfect huge stadiu...

Re: Oh what a feeling...........

Ive always had a soft spot for the Gibson flying v. I personally prefer it to explorers and sgs, and have for many years owned a v, a les paul and a strat (amongst other 'turnaround guitars). For me its a perfect marriage of Gibson grunt, upper fret access and 'stand out from the crowd' looks.

Re: jmd1 + soundprocessor.

Well its a few weeks in, and another 14 gigs under the belt. The JMD is now my Gigging amp. I use the axefx for recording/home rehearsals and as a gig backup, but the JMD is my live amp of choice. Still finding my way around all the sounds available but Ive got 4 patches I use which cover everything...

Re: Marshall customer service 10/10

Im from the UK and have to say Ive always been very impressed with Marshalls level of customer care. Ive owned so many amps over the last 30 odd years of playing and have been disappointed in this regard a few times but never by Marshall. Ive even had an amp replaced by a new one about a month befor...
