Re: How about some live pics from the members here ?

Some rather new pics from the Bluezz Bastardzz at the BaRRock in Hamburg, Germany (Marshall combo being involved as a speaker cab for my Mesa Boogie Mark IIB) ;-) https://a2-images.myspacecdn.com/images03/27/ec6ad02260e342e5ae74e26e1dc446f7/full.jpg https://a1-images.myspacecdn.com/images03/15/3c69b...

Re: Bluesbreaker question

Sorry to bump up an old thread, but I was checking it, because I have a '69 JMP50 combo myself. Regarding that last offtopic posting this seems to be a fake amp, as the plate reads "JIM MARCHAL". ;) Concerning the original question I think Marshall once released an expensive version of their standar...

Re: How about some live pics from the members here ?

I recently edited my posting from last year about the Bluezz Bastardzz at the Harley-Davidson Mountain Custom Festival in Andorra 2010 with some more live pics including the rented Vintage Modern combo on a 4x12" Rivera cab. Here is a new one from the soundcheck with my spare Ibanez Musician MC300 (...

Re: EV-12Ls

I'm using one in my self-built Thiele cab for my Mesa Boogie Mark IIB head, and it's a very loud speaker. It's also sounding quite clear, so you have to dial in less presence and treble especially when you turn up the master volume. http://bluezzbastardzz.kilu.de/boogie+box.jpg It's also very heavy,...

Re: First proper gig with my VM...slightly concerned

This also means that the guitar amp often has to vary in volume depending on the situation at a gig, so master volumes or attenuators are essential. If you do not have an attenuator or master volume, and you depend on output tube distortion for your tone, your amp will have a fixed volume it will p...

Re: VM 2466 with 1X12 Cab

The speaker should be able to handle the 100w output, and if you like the sound of a closed 4x12" cab, it should rather be a closed "Thiele" cab, i.e. with a vented port to support the lower frequencies and not an open-back cab like a combo. In the past I liked the Celestion 100w G12 speaker, but I ...

Re: Bluezz Bastardzz on the Harley-Davidson Festival in Ando

Thanks for the welcome, and yes, the festival had us on Friday night and three other bands with two guitars on Saturday night, so the TSL combo plus 4x12" cab was for them. I was curious about the Vintage Modern (having a '69 JMP50 plexi combo at home) and don't like too many knobs on a front panel ...

"That lil' ol' ZZ Top cover band from Hamburg..." in Andorra

Hi, the Bluezz Bastardzz were invited to the Harley-Davidson Mountain Custom Festival in Andorra on July 23rd, 2010. They provided the complete backline for the open air stage in a park including a VM2266c on a Rivera 4x12" cab which I had only heard of a few days earlier on another gig in Hamburg w...
