I was having the same issue. My 2266C is in for service right now (under warranty) and, if it isn't resolved, I can send it back and tell them to check this.

They must have better deals out there.... Was the TSL on sale when you bought it? It was used and a bit beat up. Just to update this because I am bored on a holiday......

That JCM2000 wasn't doing it for me so I sold it. I got it for $175 and sold it for $550. Later that day I ordered a used Vintage Modern 2266C that I got for $599. It arrived a couple of days ago and sounds glorious!!!!!!!!

Thanks folks. I can't wait until it arrives. If it gives me vintage type Marshall tones I will be in heaven.

Now I just have to figure out how to effectively use those two preamp controls!
