Re: Marshall 2466 NO sound. At all.

Once, when my VM became quiet I looked from behind and all tubes were glowing.
I brought new preamp tube and start checking all four in presmp section, one by one. Still nothing.
I brought it to the tech and he fixed it easily.
Two preamp tubes were bad :-)

Re: Vintage Modern 2266 + Looper Switcher (problem)

I do understand the issue but don’t see easy way to solve it My system is simulating manual mode and is switching one function at the time. That’s easy. You want to switch patches but system doesn’t know if HDR is on or off. It just toggles it and in some situations it will toggle it when it is not ...

Re: Re tube

Are you sure it was power tube! Funny thing happened to my 2266 last year. Same symptoms as with yours. I always have spare sets and I just started replacing tubes, one by one. No help! Then I replaced all 4 preamp tubes and it was cured! After some more testing I found out that two preamp tubes wer...

Re: Convert LDR to 2203 and HDR to Hi-Gain 2203

Interesting I mostly use a Strat. But also use an acoustic with onboard preamp. On occasion an Ibanez with Seymour Duncan humbuckers. My V M is a 2266c. I have never felt the tone to be muddy! Are you using Vintage Modern greenbacks? It seems to me a lot of time and effort to extensively mod the am...

Very good! I really enjoyed both watching and listening.
Only things I was missing were some backing vocals

Re: Hi guys, been asleep for a year haha

Hello Eldin, how are you, and everything and that ? My life has changed since I started in new job 5 years ago. The job is too demanding and too stressfull. I am half dead when I get home. Still I managed to recharge once a week by playing some R’n R and then Lockdown happened. Did not play for a l...

Re: How to Mic Your Amp for Stellar Tone

I do have SM57 but I never use it. Never liked the results. I prefer condensor mic with large diaphragma placed 2 feet from the speaker and off the cone centre. I think I tried almost every single method that existed in recording world and just went back to the old school: Marshall amp + marshall ca...

Are we still bitching about this?
It is like soccer team from my home town, they always blame referee when they lose.
It’s time to go back to the studio and make some music :-)

Re: New VM user with fx-loop noise issue

I’ve narrowed the origin of the noise down to be the ns2 itself. With my pedals hooked up without the ns2 there is no buzzing at all, only the hiss from the amp. Same thing when I put the ns2 only into the preamp or the fx loop. Using the same isolated powersupply, same patch cables and same cables...

Re: New VM user with fx-loop noise issue

A 4 cable method is “invented” to give you possibility to connect your multiFX processor in kind of perfect way. That means that you can select what in front and what in loop like you already know. Off course you can connect all kind pedals using 4 cable method. If you take a look at the schematic b...
