Re: US vs UK Red Marshall Class 5s

I didn't order it through the online deal. I threw down some cash in my local shop that I try to do all my business at. I was actually called back by them asking if I would be interested in the red. I had seen all the pictures of the red ones before so I of course jumped all over that expecting to ...

Re: US vs UK Red Marshall Class 5s

Since my red one is already paid for and on the way, I will "Hot Rod" the crap out of it. lol. :bgrin Yeah when I bought my mexican made 1970 strat about nine years ago online, and got it... and it had all sorts of defects with it, I learned that for me to never to buy anything online unless I have...

Re: Can Any Pedal Help The Class 5 To Sound More Plexi ish?

Ok Update.... So I made it in and I tried the BB Preamp, Box Of Rock, The Plextortion, The Red Snapper And some other british something or another. The verdict... I have to say that my expectations were highest for the BB preamp which actually disappointed me the most! :dunno :violin :barf The winne...

Re: Is a JTM combo closer to a class 5 or a plexi stack?

Extreme Sexiness! I still GAS for a 87/59 head but the C5 is at least giving me some of that classic goodness while I still hunt for the right one. lol :woot Yeah I've pretty much set my sights on the Metro 12xxxx series - Marshall 68' 100w replica. Apparently they smoke any other clones including ...

Re: Is a JTM combo closer to a class 5 or a plexi stack?

Just posting an update... Got the 1960tv cab, and it's pretty freaking cool. The speakers are still a little still and when I have the volume of the c5 around 12:00, it sounds almost like a fuzz pedal, but hopefully that will go away when the speakers break in? When it's dimed or right around where ...

Re: Opinions Sought: Quintessential 12" Speaker for C5 Ext.

I just ordered a cab full of celestion g12h 30s.

I haven't played on it yet :thumbsdown but apparently they're super efficient and sensitive, and one of the best speakers for rock n roll/blues, if you're into that sort of thing. :Cheers

Thanks a lot for that post, very informative. :Thumbs I just order a 1960TV cab with G12h30 70th anniversary editions, so I'm super excited! :jam I suppose that if I get really knit-picky about it I'll think about swithcing them out for the heritage's, but I need to hear what this cab has to offer f...

Why The Extra Tall Bottom Cab?

Can someone explain to me why the flat cabinet to the super100jh stack is taller than a normal one?

I've never seen hendrix use one like that so I'm a little confused about it and wondering what purpose it serves? :smash

Re: Marshall 1960TV?

Just so you know, Marshall's model numbers have nothing to do with the years or whatever. For example, 1959, 1986, 1987, 1962, 1974, 1960 etc., are just their designated model numbers but have nothing to do with the years themselves. Yeah, figured. Don't really know why they do it though.... :crazy

Marshall 1960TV?

Hey guys. I just bought a 1960tv on ebay.
