Re: Dual / Linking Class 5 Combo`s (Again)

Hi and Cheers for your reply,I know you answered in my original post which satisfied me but then I came across `out of phaze` & `ground issues`, at least now you do, what Im wanting to do, so as Im watching a Voodoo Lab Amp switcher I`ll head in that direction. ( Im not that keen in putting Delays/R...

Dual / Linking Class 5 Combo`s (Again)

With linking two Class 5 Combo`s - do I need to worry about a mismatch? I cant decide whether to use a Stereo Delay or a Stereo Reverb, or a designated A/B/Y box which has switches built in to help correct any problems, i.e I`m reading that you can get `earth hum` or amps can run out of Phaze, does ...

Linking 2 Class 5 Combos..

Is it possible to link class 5 combo`s together to get a bigger sound (the way Joe Bonamassa did) or is it more hassle than its actually worth?

If so, how would I do it?

Class 5 for Blues?

Does anyone use their Class 5 for Blues? The band im in a band that consists of Guitar & Vx / Keys & Vx / Bass / Drums, the `on stage` volume isnt going to blow away a concrete wall but its still loud enough to actually `feel` what we`re playing. Do you think the Class 5 would work with the volume 3...

Re: Class 5 Combo with Class 5 extension cab?

Ditto! I sold mine a few years ago with many many regrets. Ive just picked up the last model that had the updates/improvements on for next to nothing (the guys wife was expecting so he had to `make room`). It was still boxed with stickers on, complete with polystyrene and warranty......£275.00!!!!

Re: Class 5 Combo with Class 5 extension cab?

Ah OK cheers, I couldn`t remember if Id read it on hear somewhere or if it was something Id wondered about... I already use a 1987x and 1960ax with greenbacks (as well as a VM with another 1960ax with greenbacks) and I was just looking for a `stack` set up for the smaller gigs that come along, Ive r...

Class 5 Combo with Class 5 extension cab?

Does anyone use their Class 5 combo with the designated extension cab? (i.e the one you`d use with the Class 5 head) or does it not work this way?

Re: Hot Plate ohms question

Hi, I also have a 1987x (& a Vintage Modern 2266) and use a THD hotplate rated at 16 ohms through a 16ohms 1960ax 4x12, I wouldn`t risk using anything other than the correct/matched ohm`s with a hot plate.
Hope this helps, let us know what happens..... :United_Kingdom

4 x 12 Cabs with VM???

Hi, anyone using a 1960AX 4 x 12 with their VM, any preferences to this over the designated 425?

Ive have had a 425 before, but I have a chance of a 1960AX at a good price!

Any opinions/views???? :think

Here`s a `3 way` setting in HDR!

Ive been messing about with LDR/HDR for a while now trying to get a `3 sounds`... A.clean B.Overdrive C. `A Good Decent Volume ` for solo`s on all settings/sounds!!! I don't like using pedals as a rule but bought a Custom Audio Electronics (MXR) Boost/Line Driver to `see how it goes`.... I found tha...

2 VM Heads??????

Just a general question here...

Is anyone using 2 VM`s, I,E one purely as a `solo boost`, if so, is it worth the expense/extra gear etc... rather than a pedal?

Wireless Guitar System

Has anyone used (or is using) a wireless Guitar System with the VM, is there any difference in sound/tone rather than using the usual cable connection? Any recommendation/advice if this set up is preferred?
