Re: Tsl100 no sound once off standby

Hello, Check in the back of your amp to see if the tubes are glowing. If not, then it is probably the tube filaments fuse that is blow up. The fuse is located inside the amp directly on the circuit board. And also, I believe that on a TSL 100 there is more then one Tube filament fuse. I have the sam...

Re: Ordered used jcm 2000 dsl 100

Hi I have a DSL40C and I love it. Perfect for band practice and small club gigs. Note that, on the clean Channel, Just enough head room but it does the job. I also have à JCM2000 TSL60 with à 1960 cabinet. Love it also, sound great for me. I used it for Bigger gigs. Guess I'm more the lazy type of g...

Re: NAD DSL 15C

Hello Leewaun,
Sorry to hear that. I just got the DSL40C last month (June 2013) and I love this amp ! I love the sound of it right of the box. So, it wont have to go through any surgeries lol.

As you probably know ... A good tech can probably, without any problems add a FX loop into your amp.

Re: Bright Cap Mod

Hello SANDIN I performed that Bright Cap mod a couple of years ago on the Clean channel. Still have the 47pf cap install. Work great for my personnal taste. Like I've said in my oringinal post I didn't liked that bright crisppy sound of the original. Some like it some dont, it's a matter of personna...

Yep C5 is the brightcap in question. I think I performed thatmod about one year ago. After playing through a half dozen of gig I stick with the 47pF since.

Re: Channel Switching popping issue & Tubes rattle issue

Washburn

Since you're going into deep dive investigation : ) and you're going to open the beast anyway, try to ad extra strip of insulating foam between the chassis and the cabinet ? I noticed that the actual foam seems a little thin no ?

Re: Channel Switching popping issue & Tubes rattle issue

Hello Washburn 1 Yep, for me also the Tubes rattle go away when I put my hand on the tip of the tubes. It's obvious that it's comming from somewhere in the chassis. Unfortunataly I wasn't able to pin point the exact source (note that I own a combo) Anyway I just ordered some spring ratainers and O-r...

Re: Channel Switching popping issue & Tubes rattle issue

I just received an E-mail from Marshall service center in Montreal Canada. They say's that the loud popping noise issue is related to the way the amp is design and their is nothing they can do ! To sad ... I guess my only option left is to unplug the reverb.

Re: Channel Switching popping issue & Tubes rattle issue

Hello Jagermike66 Thanks’ for your suggestions, any help will do : ) ! First, about the tubes rattle issue, unfortunately for me, I've already tried some other tubes and the problem doesn't go away. What I noticed during troubleshooting is that if I put my hand on the tubes during the rattling it's ...

Hello MA Lovers. I just had the Fat lady (MA100C) opened to replaced a suspect JFET (board ID TR45) That could have been the cause of a load popping noise when switching from OD channel the Clean ... And I said to myself... why not get that Bright Cap remove or changed ... See, I play a Strat and fo...
