Before breaking it in it's advisable to "warm up" the speaker gently for a few minutes with low-level playing or background hum. Have the bass and mid up full, and the treble at least half. On your guitar, use the middle pick up position (if your guitar has more than one pick up) and play for 10-15 ...

I use a Digitech Digiverb with very good results. I haven't tried any others with it though.

Neat idea without requiring any extra parts! I just tried it, works very nicely! Now I can have that same great tone late at night without annoying the people who live below me. :yea

This mod is completely reversible too if anyone was worried about that.
