Re: Granger M50 on the way

Hey sorry for the late reply. I absolutely love that amp. Very dynamic to touch and volume control. I was actually playing in a progressive country band when I bought it and it performed great. I know that many on here shun pedals but you could cover everything from Alice n Chains to Waylon with tha...

Re: new to forum. a couple of questions, please.

Just had a little jam/rehearsal with a drummer/bass/guitar all playing within 6 feet of each other ( small space ya know, lower volumes used). The cleans on this amp are insane and full of depth without any effects. The preamp tones i use are mainly 1-7. I had such an emulation of Clapton's Cream to...

Re: Introductions and multi-amp setup dreamin'

Hey Orion, glad to see you on the site. I have a Radial Switchbone that has been very impressive so far. You can AB/Y 2 amps. It has phase switch adjustments, impressive clean/midrange boost with gain control, ground switching, and a "sag" control that brings back more of a single amp/guitar feel to...

Re: First impression- new JMD1

The JMD has got some great tones in it. I especially like the cleaner preamps, I think preamp 1,2,3 all sound great dry. Its got balls too, the distortion tones are quite impressive. I had mention in an earlier post the Jubilee series. I may still pull the trigger on a 50th anniversary edition limit...

Re: First impression- new JMD1

Had a chance to spend 3-4 hours with with JMD/Granger and my new pedal board arrangement with the switch bone today. Holy crap it was awesome. I still have not programmed any presets, just walked thru all the settings and worked with a little splash of the effects. I just got thru seeing Journey/For...

Re: VM vs. Jubilee

I will admit that the Granger has clean thru early 80's rock with the roll of the volume knob. Ive got a JMD that will likely cover all ground in between. I intend to set up 2 amp with my radial switcher. I dont know why I am jonesing for another amp. But really, do you need a reason :shredder . I a...

Re: Reputable Luthiers in the Southeast.

Well the guitar is perfectly set up. The action is just right. Can still be strummed rather aggresively without irritating rattle. Intonates perfectly, play great. Starting at the 10th fret, bend notes up 2 frets+ a little extra just kills the note on highE and B strings. Since I can't play like Mal...

VM vs. Jubilee

I am interersted in both these amps. Just wondering from folks that have both which do you care for the most. I must admit the VM sounds great but some of the Cieratone Jubilee clones sound great as well. Not trying to beat a dead horse, just wondering what owners of both would have to say.

Reputable Luthiers in the Southeast.

I'm looking for someone who is experienced in refret/neck work. My local guy does a good setup but not so good at hearing definate buzzing. I believe this may be a small hump in the neck as mentioned by others with some Les Pauls. The action is within Gibson specs, actually almost middle of the road...

Re: Buying a Les Paul

I just kinda went down that road. I was really interested in what I remember as 68 reissue which was a solid body and 60's thin neck. Only thing is that in my neck of the woods, literally, you can't just go to the store and play one. In the end I got an Ice Tea burst standard with chambered body and...

Re: New Nuno Guitar Month!

I will have to give a thumbs up for Nuno, a huge influence on me. More inspirational because that guy is beyond my abilities. Truly a genius with rhythmatic riffs and structure. They even stopped in little ole Hattiesburg Mississippi at their peak and played a show at the request of a fan that had l...

Re: Jmd eyes opened

I've agree, I've had several comment on the amp at practice and I dont even know how to use it yet. I just find a preamp that i dig and go with it , no effects. I've got the 1x12 combo, it sound much better thru a 2x12 and rips thru a 4x12. Usable, controllable distortion and volume. Nice.

Any Apple users out there?

Finally got around to recording a little sound clip of the Granger with Garage band. Saved/mastered it and it saved with the suffix " .band ". I have tried all day to rename the file to pdf , mp3, wav, or something that will load on soundcloud. I just cannot figure it out. This is the first Apple I'...
