Celestion golds IME sound better through open back cabs.
I made my 4x12 open back, and it sound glorious with the golds. Nice full balanced sound that encompasses the room instead of a beam in front
Go with better speakers, or be prepared to swap them out. Once you hear how your Marshall sounds with better speakers like greenbacks, 65s, vintage 30s, Creamback, or my favorite golds, you'll realize how much a compromise those 75s are.
I was underwhelmed with the Alnico cream. It was flat and dull compared to the Alnico golds I normally use. I ran it with my Marshall and my deluxe reverb and also vox ac30. The gold was just better in all applications than the cream alnico. I got rid of the cream. And it doesn't get better with mor...

I put in an eminence red white and blues and it was a huge improvement in every way without changes any settings. Usually howe...
The 50w vs 100w aside, the 410 has more tones that the 2xx series. The clean green is way better, and the OD1 is classic Marshall which the 2xx series doesn't have, unless you mod. The 100w thing isn't an issue with the JVM because if the master volumes work so well. But if you don't use a lot of di...
I recently traded a gretsch electromatic (that became redundant for me after getting a 6120) for a reverse headstock firebird studio. Cool guitar and different, the neck is offset away from the body requiring reaching further than I'm used to. Otherwise easy to play, sound more like an sg than a les...
My JVM is modded for less gain, as well as other mods. I use all Golds in my 4x1w with the JVM and it sounds glorious. I did make an oval open back for it, Golds love open back. I play mostly classic rock stuff and this combination works great. Clean and crunchy, the Golds are just outstanding. Most...
