My first question - Harley Benton 2x12 cab & boost pedal?

I own the Harley Benton 2x12 with V30's. It really is a steal! They're front loaded though, so if you're planning on swapping speakers in the future that might be a pain for you. Overall they sounds really nice for the money, and they're definately gig-able! I'm getting rid of mine though, not diggi...

The monster Cable warranty is.. Strange..

I got some new overpriced cables in today. Monster Cables.

I read the warranty, and was absolutely flabbergasted!

Take a look for yourself.

Re: Vintage Modern Custom Footswitch

Hey everyone! I have another question relating to footswitching, so I thought I might as well plonk it down here. I have a small momentary footswitch which switches the DR, but It's on the left side of my pedalboard. Now what I want to do is have a cable go from the footswitch to the IN of a small p...

Re: Best Clean boost to push the LDR

Welcome to the forum, nice first question. Let me cut the the chase, get the Creation Audio Labs Mark 4:23. This pedal in LDR will give you some great stuff without changing the tone of the VM. Instant Angus Young or Page with only 25% boost. Go to 50% boost and you have all Vintage rock tones. Whi...

Re: JTM45/100 TONES ON MY VM? HELP!

All this talk about Xotic pedals have made me curious. I'm currently boosting my VM with a Ibanez TS808, I love the clean boost but I noticed that the bass suffers a bit from it. Would adding a Xotic Ep booster with the bass switch on and the treble switch off give me that little bit of extra growl?...

Re: Anyone try SteveD's mod

I like the amp. I'd like a little more gain at times. I don't really want to sacrifice the dynamics though. IMO the VM doesn't need a mod, it really is pretty damm good as it is. If you would like just a bit more gain or push I would look first to a good clean boost, I use one all the time in LDR. ...

Personally I'd reccomend either the;

- ENGL Ritchie Blackmore
- Peavey 5150/6505

Both amps fall into your budget if you'd buy them used.
They're both high-gain amps, especially the 5150/6505. I think either of those would do a great job at Djent.
It's all a matter of taste, though.

Reccomendations?
It would depend entirely on your budget.

I see!

What exactly is the boost doing to your sound now that it's modded? Any significant changes as far as your amps response to it?

Thanks everyone for the help. It is greatly appreciated.
As soon as I got the parts I'll take it to a tech so I won't deep-fry myself.

Clips will follow shortly after.

Then I say goi for it! :yea :Cheers Jim I would love to, however, I've got a bit of a problem. I posted the following earlier in this topic. Perhaps you can help me out with this, Jim? Is this mod exactly the same for the 2266 as well as the 2466? Or does it require different components? Also, can ...
