Re: new to c5 forum, would really appreciate your advice

I think the C5 would work great. Once the speaker gets broke in it sounds really good. I run mine with everything at 9:00, and bass at 3:00. Guitar volume to lose a little of the dirt. Is this correct and you run everything low except the bass and have it way up? I have a cream version. I run mine ...

Re: Class 5 Input Impedance and other Mods

I just did the mods that 6b4g mentioned and they worked really well with the strat. The tone controls work well in the 12:00 range and the amp sounds better. I haven't checked the humbucker guitars yet, but they sounded fine anyway. Overdrive pedal sounds great with the Strat, too. :Cheers i just i...

Re: Marshall Class 5 Owner Needs Help!

Ha!

Good luck to that guy!! He won't figure out what he's done unless he stumbles upon something.

It's a learning process. Good thing he messed up a $400. amp instead of a $1,500. amp.

Re: Changing tubes on class 5

First Post. :howdy I've had my Class 5 for a couple of months. My Class 5 came with one Sino 12ax7 and one JJ 12ax7 and a JJ power tube with a 35 rating. I messed around with the preamp tubes, swapping around the originals and trying JJ's, TS's, Mullard reissues, Sovteks, other sino's and whatever e...
