Re: NAD! CODE50

I just got my footswitch today. Pretty clever little accessory! I have found I like to leave it on a preset and use it in "switch mode". So far my go to setup is one I've customized. It's the bluesbreaker preamp and power amp model but into a 1974cx cab. I've found that with almost all of these mode...

Re: NAD! CODE50

Oh yeah, I'm just curious as to what mixes and matches of preamp and power amp settings.

NAD! CODE50

:headbanger So I finally pulled the trigger on a CODE 50! Very pleased with this purchase. I've been fighting with my fender blues jr lately and decided I needed a backup amp, so I saw this and you can't beat the price! So I took it home and after tweaking the presets to my liking, I think it is goi...

MID CONTROL

I love my class 5 but one thing irks me, the mid control knob. Does it actually do anything. I may hear a slight change going all the way from one side to the other but honestly it seems like it does nothing. Is this just my amp or are you guys noticing this too? doesn't matter much, I like the way ...

Re: jj el84 rattle.

bought it off amazon, honestly it would be more of a pain to ship it back, also I got a really good deal on the set so i'm not all that worried about it, the two 12ax7's paired with the existing el84 gave me the sound I wanted.

Re: jj el84 rattle.

yeah, every reveiw I've read said that JJs where great, I also thought that was supposed to be stock on a c5. the jj 12ax7s sound great, really brightened up the sound, but the el84 had no growl and a bad rattle. I guess I will save it in case the TAD blows, till I can order a new one of course. The ...

jj el84 rattle.

I have had my c5 for 2 years. Version 2, no rattle, love it! I recently purchased a set of jj tubes because I wanted to try a change of tone. I opened up my c5 and found a TAD el84,a red script Marshall 12ax7 and a silver script Marshall 12a,x 7. Changed each to a jj. At about volume level 4 I got a...

Re: Overdrive Pedal

I own two behringer pedals, a reverb/delay and a tuner pedal. Both are plastic and cheap. Both have lasted through many gigs over the last 3 years. Behringer pedals are great sounding, they just are built cheap. As long as you take care of them and keep it in a descent pedalboard or gig bag, it will...

Re: bedroom mod

The only thing that bothers me about that mod is that since you are not unplugging the leads from the output transformer, won't that add to the resistance on the headphones circut?

Re: bedroom mod

Yes, 3 piece back but no low power mode. I used it for a while with pedals for distortion but nothing beats the real thing!

bedroom mod

I modded my ver2 class 5 for low power mode by wiring the internal speaker with a 1/4 inch plug and plugged it half way into the phones for lp mode and into the external speaker jack for full power. It sounds great and works just fine but I was wondering if there where any problems this could cause.

internal speaker

Is there a way to hook up the c5 so that the internal speaker still works with an extention cab.

Re: C5 LOUDNESS!

That thing is like $200! I can just buy a mic for that, or a used c5! Thanks for the info though I do like that idea. kind of on a budget right now but when I get my cash right, I'll keep that option in mind

C5 LOUDNESS!

So I went to guitar center today and was blown away. Not by an amp I want but by an amp I already own. I have had my c5 about a year and a half and have only played it with a band twice. I am starting up a band with freinds and was worried it might not cut it for outdoor gigs. So I went looking at s...
