Just wanted to say that the new tubes did fix the noise issue. The amp sounds great! I hate biasing this amp. This was only the second time, but taking out the main board from the cabinet is a complete pain in the ass.

Thanks for your help. I was putting a Bigsby on my guitar the same time I was trying to set up my amp. I think the new tubes solved my noise issue. I'll know for sure tomorrow.

Alright guys I just received my new JJ EL34 tubes. I was about to put them in and noticed one less prong on the JJ tubes than the original Marshall tubes and also the bottom is not numbered so: 1. is one less prong a problem, -did I order the wrong tubes? 2. does it matter which way I put the tubes ...

If the tubes are bad, would they still show 76mVDC? In other words, I can still bias them even if they are bad? all of the tubes in my JMD102 have lettering that is 'yellowed'. They are the same as Bonedaddio's. Does that really mean they are bad? Is there any easy way to test?

An interface from Softube would be great but in the meantime - did you know that you can call up the position of each pot for any of your custom presets? I think this is in the manual but you simply call up a preset, turn the pots one at a time until the footswitch/midi program light glows steadily...

I use mine in preset mode as I tend to go from Distortion to Clean quite a bit in a song. Plus I use some reverb here or Phaser there and I like having it all programmed in.
