Re: MIDI

Here's what I THINK I'll be using live on a pedal board. The ADA MXC has now got the new switches installed, and works quite nicely. On the other hand , I do agree about the FCB1010 switches being farther apart... I'm not just not sure I want to take it apart and mod it so I can cut it down to get r...

Re: MIDI // JMD1 tones!!

Oddly enough, I just decided not to use an FCB1010 I have. Too big, bulky, and the expression pedals won't work with the JMD1... I considered amputation, but it's really too much work for what I'd have. If I didn't have a couple of other midi pedals lying around, I'd probably look at the Rolls Midi ...

Re: Red rocker switch change, busted up JMD102 project

IIRC, the 4-pin is a straight swap out, making sure it's installed in the same orientation... I think I read it on this forum somewhere. And that fuses will blow if it's in wrong, again, IIRC.

Re: Red rocker switch change, busted up JMD102 project

That's what I came up with initially, then I found these: Red Lighted Marshall 4 pin Switch I searched the site, and found nothing about the 4 pin/5 pin thing, so I "un-ordered" the 5 pins and found some 4 pins. Should do the trick, and for $4.95 US! I've used MojoTone for a bunch of other stuff for...

Re: Red rocker switch change, busted up JMD102 project

Thanks for the reply about the "re-cabinet". I am 61+ years tired, and more weight is not a good thing. Still, wouldn't it look good as a "half-stack & a half"?? DOH!! Will have to decide tomorrow, the wood work will be starting soon! The rest of the parts and vinyl won't be here for a while, and I ...

Red rocker switch change, busted up JMD102 project

I'm going to be changing out the power switch to a lighted one in my JMD1 head; the one I found online is a five contact type (a 5th contact powers the light). The 4-contact model is out of stock. Any thoughts on how this will wire in? Is the power for the light line voltage, or is it DC I'll have t...

Re: Speakers with the JMD

I'm not as good as you Dave, but I'm pretty good. The deal I made with my local (unamed Guitar store chain hint hint) was a price match; new JDM-100 head and 1960A Cabinet Out-The-Door (includes shipping and 6% sales tax in the price) at $1399.00, 18 months no interest financing. I also got a guaran...

Re: Speakers with the JMD

I actually got to play both a JMD 100 watt half stack (Marshall 4 x 12 cab, not sure which speakers, but a good one, Super Lead or something similar on the badge... black grille cloth, white logo and piping??) and a JMD 50 watt combo for a while today... Damn there were some CRAZYGOOD tones in there...

Re: Haze 40 crashed

Thanks!! I'm really pumped. Should have it by the end of the week. I really think the second Haze 40 I got was never set right from the factory in India; but I'm no expert. I'm just glad I learned how to check and set bias myself, that alone can save bench charges, and it definitely helped how the a...

Re: Speakers with the JMD

I am new AND I'm probably asking a dumbass question, but after searching some, I still don't know what the stock speakers in a JMD102 are???
Thanks,

Re: JMD:1 Marshall Theatre Demo Settings List

I'm new here, but this really caught my attention: 2. If Chris George has software that can dump his settings into any JMD anywhere in the world, if he was using the flash cable, he'd have to pull the unit apart every time this is done (not at all convenient). I doubt that he is doing this. In order...

Re: Haze 40 crashed

Tuning in late here, but what the hell. I have two slightly modded Haze 40 combos. Early on with the first one, I had one of the Chinese EL34s fail, badly. This led me to really look into the amp, learn how to properly bias them, and make some tube changes. I use the clean channel, unbelievable tone...
