Hmm.. Perhaps I stand corrected. Hopefully that doesn't happen to mine.

Re: 2061X coming soon - opinions?

I don't understand what people on the internet say about the transformers in the 2061x. They say that the Mercury Magnetics clones are the most accurate to the original 2061 amps? Even though Marshall teamed up with Dagnall (the original maker of these transformers) and that they reproduced the exac...

Re: 2061X coming soon - opinions?

Oh I do have a place to turn it up! I usually play in my basement. For comparison I have anAvatar 18 1974x clone which is not too loud cranked up. Although I'm betting the 2061x is a bit louder at least. It seems like the 2061x could have more headroom and have a rounder, warmer tone.

2061X coming soon - opinions?

I have a Marshall 2061X coming to me soon! What can you tell me about it?

Glad to be back at the Marshall Roadhouse after a long break!

Re: Convince me to keep my JMP and JTM

That is my favorite all round speaker. There's not many amps that don't sound good with it. How you getting on with the Avatar Amp? Al Hey Al, Yeah it's a great speaker. The Avatar is great. My liking to it has not decreased. For the old ACDCtones it's nailed IMO. It does a good Kossoff impression ...

Re: Convince me to keep my JMP and JTM

I decided to sell my JTM1. It just didn't get enough use and I found the bass to be too finicky when using different speakers.

I will miss it but I am keeping my JMP. I'm gonna use that with my G12H 55. That speaker sounds amazing with this amp!

Re: Convince me to keep my JMP and JTM

Thank guys. I think you all have confirmed my thoughts about selling them. I've become attached to them but sometimes you gotta move on. The ones I have are combos and I live in the US so that cuts out all the UK ppl who'd be interested in buying it. I'll put it up on eBay. They are nice amps that a...

Convince me to keep my JMP and JTM

I recently purchased an Avatar 18watt head about a month ago. It's my favorite amp I've played to date and it gives me all the bluesbreaker and plexi type tones between the TMB channel and the normal channel. And I can crank it to 10 in my house with no problem and even at low volume it sounds great...

Re: JMP1 and Marshall Heritage 70w speaker = Heaven

Wow al, that sounds massive. In no way does it sound like 0.1 watt. You must be doing some recording magic, because mine doesn't sound that full in the room at 1 watt. Nice tone. I had a feeling that amp is perfect for a g12h30 and your recording confirmed it. Great tone.

I have a JTM1 C that is in great condition. Have original box and manual. Have some money trouble so I'm interested in letting it go. If you are interested PM me.

Re: Diggin' my JTM1H...

Maybe try a 5751 in V1 and V2. I bet that will cleanup the gain some and make it smoother too. I too sometimes wish I could clean it up but I fear that a lower gain tube will sacrifice volume.

Pulled out my JTM 1 today :)

So I pulled out my JTM 1-C today after a long break. I got a tweed deluxe a few weeks ago and it's amazing! Gave my Phaez to a friend of mine as a gift. So now I have the tweed deluxe clone, 73 fender champ, laney cub 12, Marshall JTM 1/JMP 1-C. That's my collection. Rough life ain't it? I haven't p...

Re: finally got my JMP1 head!

Cool setup there! I don't think you need a pedal for those tones dude. A pedal is a waste of money in that amp. That is what the boost is designed for. Play with settings trust me you'll find it. The JMP lacks bass and any pedal will just suck more bass. If you want your tone to be bad then get a pe...

JMP and JTM 1 w/ Scumback M75

So today I tried our my scumback M75 (pre-Rola era G12M clone) with my JMP 1 and JTM 1. I must say it sounded darn good with both. It had that sound going with both of them. One thing I noticed was it was much quieter than my WGS Green Beret or my Celestion G12H30 55hz. Idk what the db rating is of ...
