Re: NAD : JTM145 and possible problem

Thanks for the replies guys. I have now changed all the tubes and the problem persists. I've also tried a different location and cables. Still the same. Spiderwars, yes there is some buzz at 0 volume. It is not 60hz. At this point I assume there is a problem with the loudness 1 pot so I should take ...

NAD : JTM145 and possible problem

Hi all, I just got a used Andertons CS JTM145. However I just noticed a strong buzz, that intensifies as I increase the loudness control and is stronger on the high input. It seems to get higher when I increase the treble or the loudness 1. I have replaced the ecc83 valves but did not fix anything. ...

Re: Some help with speaker swapping

Thanks Al!
I'll try that. If i don't manage to unhook the clips i'll just get some new cables and solder them to the v30.

Some help with speaker swapping

Hi guys, I just received my new V30 and was ready to install it tonight. However once I removed the back of my 1936 cab and started pulling the connectors on one of the speakers it's like they're glued, they don't come off. I wiggled and pulled to no avail. I'm afraid to break something if i pull to...

It sounds great FullBend, even the dry part. Thanks for posting!

I'm still trying to decide which speaker to get for my JMP1. So many choices, G12m, G12m greenback, G12h (55 and anniversary)... Argh!

Re: Get a JCM1?

I really love my JCM1h. No matter what speakers I use it's just so easy to get a good tone out of it.

Totally agree with FullBend, it sounds great for AC/DC Back in Black era songs and of course 80s metal.

If you like 80s rock/metal I'd say you wont regret the JCM1. Just my 2 cents....

I just got myself a JMP1 so I really appreciate the time you guys take to post these tests and your opinions. They are very helpful. Keep them comin'! Both sounded great to me and yet so...

Yes, for me as well the V30 is the winner. And it's brand new! I wonder how much better it will get once broken in...
That's it! I'm getting one of these for myself!

Re: JMP1 and 1936 cab

Sounds amazing Alpeggio. Thanks for posting!
I'm interested in the combination V30/T75 for my 1936 cab so if anyone has tried this would love to know their opinion. Would this be better suited for 80's metal/hard rock than the G12H/T75?
