Re: JCM 800 Holy Grail amp!

This is an old thread, I know. Just wanted to say that I have a 2205 & 2210 that I bought brand new in 1990. It's a 1989 and 1990 model. They are both very well taken care of. However, I haven't used them the last 15 years. They probably need new tubes and a small overhaul now with regards to potent...

Re: YJM problems - Noise gate...

Tiger....you know of course, that after the 5 year warranty is up, the amp is designed to self destruct. Geez.. I hope not :bgrin Warranty and repair is actually the least of my worries. It's more the question whether (or not) there could be a design flaw who are just waiting to happen when you lea...

Re: YJM problems - Noise gate...

Thanks for sharing this info above. Let's hope this issue is limited to only a small numbers of YJM100s, and not the whole production of 1500 amps. So far anyway, I haven't noticed anything wrong with my 3 amps whatsoever. And if so, the warranty in my country is valid for 5 years from the date I bo...

Re: yjm problem and warranty

As far as warranty issues, this is normally regulated by the legislation and consumer laws in each individual country. In Norway, and most other Scandinavian countries, including many European countries as well for that matter, the consumer law says that if an item is suppose to last longer than 2 y...

Re: YJM problems - Noise gate...

I ever tryed with other preamp tubes and nothing change...:( A very "basic" question is (and which is the reason I haven't mentioned it) if your guitar, cables and pedalboard works 100 % fine with other amps? In theory, there may be some electronically malfunction in that respect who causes the low...

Gotta love a bit of Ping Pong lol. Its fun playing with this setting, on the Lexicon unit in my mixer. Do any of you guys use ping pong settings on your delay? Al I use it very often. TC Flashback and TWO Fullstacks. In this case a ´76 Super Bass and a 1959 HW. FULLSTEREO. Sounds awesome! Sigi I al...

Re: used price for YJM ?

A used Marshall YJM100 just sold on ebay over the weekend for $3050.00 plus $85.46 for standard shipping. Ironicly, I paid about $300 less for each of my 3 (brand new) YJM100 compared to my 2 SLP1959 from 2010. That said, I admit it was hard to get hold of the third one. My local dealer in Oslo had...

Re: Yngwie Malmsteen shows us his rig

This is something no one has ever explained to me. How does he play through all of those heads at once? Are all of those heads and cabs cranking at once, or is he only playing through one, and the rest are for show? He is doing the same as I have done ever since 1980 when I was 14, and as EVH had b...

Re: Public Service Announcment

You can either drop $50-$200 on flowers and wine and dinner and shit AND get laid by the wife OR blow $200 on hookers & Moet - the end result is the same. My point? - those of you mocking the $$$ spent on Teddy bears and shit AREN'T getting pussy, you're gonna end up wanking. Ask yourself: better t...

Re: How many YJM's???

those 4 numbers after the date codes are sequential production numbers but they don't mean that all the previous numbers exist nor that those previous numbers actually belong to YJMs. The serial numbers are unique and assigned by production as per their own production systems and don't mean much to...
