The amp sounded kind of muffleld before the mods. It is now brighter. It is also (though I'm not a big fan of these descriptors) more articulate.

I just got a Haze 40C a couple weeks ago and after changing one cap and clipping another ( I did a couple other cap mods but reversed them as the amp became too bright) biased it, and have a V-30 speaker in it (not needed from my reading here but it sure sounds good to me) the amp is excellent!

I did the Cap 73 snip, the 1nf mod to Cap 72. I did the Negative feedback loop resistor (R104) to 100K. The R23 to 1.5K. These mods I kept as the amp turned into a killer Plexi-JCM800 hybrid.
