Re: Beginner amp

It's a combo, I thought for the price I would check it out. I wouldn't lug this one around.

Re: Tweaking a Squier Bullet strat

Besides being a hobby and playing around. This may not be the case here but why do people buy a $180 guitar then run to get pickups, tuners, nut, etc almost right away. Why not buy a $400 guitar to start with? I can see if you have stuff laying around from old swaps or builds but to just upgrade a p...

Re: Beginner amp

Too bad Marshall discontinued it, though a bit out of my price range at the moment for a used one. But I understand and makes perfect sense. Marshall don't really make a small tube amp like Vox, Fender and Orange. Sure the SL-5 but more than I need for that price. Now I am thinking the micro terror ...

Re: Beginner amp

I would love a Marshall Class 5 if I could find one. The Blackstar HT-1/5 are nice little amps also. I know tube is preferred but I also will be practicing a lot when I am on the road for work months at a time. Just don't know if I wanna be throwing a tube amp in the trunk. Once I get better, I will...

Re: Beginner amp

I know, lol. I am in discussion in another forum about reverb. For a starter amp would you recommend amp w/ reverb at least. A lot of people told me to get an amp with reverb when I started guitar. Just seems some little starter amps stopped that feature like the orange 15r and the fender 15r. Wonde...

Re: Beginner amp

Ok I have to mention this. I was reading a review on an amp online from one of the big retailers. This individual liked this amp bla bla bla and returned the Marshall MG30CFX because it didn't have clean channel. Here I am interested in this amp for the clean tone.... Now I have to go back and doubl...

Re: Beginner amp

You know, I checked the ads and online, and really didn't see anything for amps I am interested in. Except I was on Bestbuy website and I believe the Fender Mustang I was $79.99. I couldn't tell if this was the v2 model. I will wait lol

Has the Class 5 really been discontinued??

Ok I apologize, this may have been said already.
I know the combo is discontinued but I know the stack is available at Guitar Center for $499.
If the Slash SL-5 replaced it, stock is limited

Re: Beginner amp

I think so, it is a little more than I want to spend "right now." Right now the first amp I want to try is the Marshall MG30CFX.
You all are probably like, dude, you have be yapping on here for over a week, go try some.
Well some fat ass broke 3 ribs, so a bit laid up for a few more weeks.

Re: Beginner amp

I built and repaired computers for ten years, and new or old, they crash. LOL Maybe one day I will use something like this but I need to tweak my guitar playing (learn) before I do anything with a computer. All I need is some good bluesy tone w/ reverb for now and right now the Marshall sound has me...
