Re: VM 2466 1st Impression: My Loss is My Gain

When I activate HDR on my 2266C I'm in instant high gain guitar hero facemelt mode and that is with Marshall stock tubes on all positions. Have you checked the preamp tubes? Perhaps there's a 12au7 or a 12at7 in the V3 (HDR-tube) position in the preamp section? In general when I'm using the LDR mod...

Re: NAD - good deal

As others have said that was an incredible deal for your halfstack. Only advice I would give you is don't try and use both HDR and LDR at the same time. As you posted, the volume jump means it's impossible to use in a live situation. Using one or the other is the way to go. My favourite is HDR with ...

Re: Get Your Tube Combinations for the 50ths Here

Had to pull the New Sensor Mullard out of v1 because after a few hour playing time it became too microphonic...that's cp tubes for you :thumbsdown Still fine for v2 though. It's a shame 'coz I really liked the tone of them.

Re: Bad Cat Unleash or bigger amp?

So the Unleash is safe to use after the Headbone? That's how I've been using it, and there have even no issues so far. What about placing a Radial JDX after the Unleash? I've currently got it set up between the Headbone and Unleash (it feeds a looper), but it doesn't take advantage of the Unleash's...

Re: JTM1 JMP1 JCM1 DSL1 JVM1 Owners

Hi all, you may know me from the MF (same user I.D.). I only have one of the little beasts (JCM1H) but it's fantastic and I love it. Had it 18 months now and can really get great tones out of it. Here's a clip. https://soundcloud.com/georgiatec/jcm1-g12h-30-mp3 http://www.marshallforum.com/members/g...

Re: Bad Cat Unleash or bigger amp?

According to Bad Cat the only thing the output from the Unleash should go to is a speaker, or you risk blowing your unit and voiding the warranty.

Re: Bad Cat Unleash or bigger amp?

Just to echo what aristotle posted. Use the Unleash on it's own. The green input light should come on (& off) when the trim reaches approx 1/2 way with the 1 watter on full chat in 1 watt mode. I've found the loop to be very sensitive to mains power to your pedals. You are probably ok with a fuel ta...

Re: Get Your Tube Combinations for the 50ths Here

To those of you that know me from the MF Hi....Don't know why it took me so long to join you guys but hey, I'm here now. As some of you may know I have had a JCM1H for 18 months now. When it comes to tubes I've found the most important tube with the amp is the output ECC82/12AU7. Because the amps ar...
