Re: Gibson Announces 2015 Lineup

i wouldn't really care about all the crap on it as long as it's a good guitar. can't believe half the advertising. most of it's crap, anyway. same as marshall can't always produce the hype they present. these older companies have the edge but they don't appear to know how to deal with the modern pre...

Re: JVM HJS - just bought it, kinda unsure if I like it

Even today I was playing my JVM HJS and then jumped to my Jubilee reissue; on hte Jubilee the sound is thinner but more rich, more complex and more presence. I set the presence at 10 and resonance at 0 on the HJS, still I would like to have some more presence. on the HJS the presence and resonance ...

i think that amp was built around pedals in mind

Re: What to do with the Class 5?

Hi everybody, I love my C5 'til today. Being too loud as a bedroom or a practice amp, I started to take my C5 as a monitor for my Kemper or my Fractal Ultra ( it works- believe me). My second way to use the C5 is to tweak it nearly clean (with a 12AU7) and to take my board in front of it (WAH, OD, ...

Re: What to do with the Class 5?

i think at that time when the market was exploding with low wattage they might have put out the C5 to show marshall raw power- which it did!
it's a good amp.
sometimes we just have to be practical.

Re: What to do with the Class 5?

to be honest you shouldn't have to do all this stuff to an amp. if an amp doesn't perform the way i want it to then i dump it. i don't have any qualms about nostalgia. they're just tools. i don't even thin k much of 10" speakers what you give up someone else can really enjoy. i've given up stuff but...

Re: Marshall Class 5... no sound from it
