Re: Just got a JMD-1 100 watt Head!

Congrats on the JMD! There is no Shame IMO to give it a push with pedals to get it to sound like what you want...it is modeled after many amps that people normally put pedals in front of,..so it makes sense to me at least...Still very happy with the JMD..are you using the footswitch to turn effects ...

Re: Whitney Plexi Head?

Nice...glad you wound up with something your happy with...I dont think I could afford having someone else do it the work...ha! and that would take all the fun(cuss words/tantrums/banging head against the wall) out of it. Not sure which direction I am going to go...There is a JMP 1987 Non master volu...

Re: Whitney Plexi Head?

ClassicRock88...I was doing some googling on the JTM45/100 Ceriatone builds, and I came across an old thread you had started...did you ever end up building one?

Re: Whitney Plexi Head?

Thanks for the response..I Doubt it, the seller is pretty vague and has answered my emails, but not many of my questions,...I was just about to pull the trigger on a JTM45/100 build and saw this, figured I'd check it out. I could probably pick it up for about $650...it has a bias knob on the back of...

Whitney Plexi Head?

Came across this and I am not sure what to make of it? I asked the seller if this was a 45/100 clone, and he said it was a 100w clone and that was it? The KT66's got me thinking 45/100, and the mostly undecipherable letters on the front. Any help is appreciated...Thanks! http://i692.photobucket.com/...

Re: Fuzz or Muff for the JMD?

Apleggio you are Correct...For twinac and guitarest I dont quite understand your confusion(respectfully)... this amp dosent come with fuzz or muff effects,..so there ya go..? As far as gain..with the D Allen single coils it needs the punch of the Crunchbox.. or Brownie...for the more low Gain Plexi ...

Re: Looking at a JMD:1 100 watt head!

Agree with all the posts...great tones/cleans are fantastic! versatility is there...great noise gate..I struggled with crunch tones on my strats,..picked up a MI Audio Crunchbox and a Brownie,..both do an amazing job at beefing it up..very plexi like tones..Love it,..it is what I am sticking with,.....

Re: Fuzz or Muff for the JMD?

Thanks for all the tips and suggestions..I found the Hartman much more useful after I cranked the level control..sweet sounding and sustain for days...looking into doing the Hendrix/Roger Mayer Mod, which I am hoping will remove much of the overblown bass on the lower strings..but first i will have ...
