Looks real pretty, would love to try one!
The guitar looks like a Travis Bean with aluminium neck.

Re: VM 2466 1st Impression: My Loss is My Gain

There's something wrong with your amp.

I have a 2466H and HDR had so much gain that I replaced V3 preamp tube with a Ecc82 tube to lower the gain - still more than enough for heavy metal.

Re: Boss ES-8 Effects Switching System

Great , has most of the features I would wish including Midi . It lacks an integrated expression pedal and you still have the problem of needing to have all the pedals nearby (or long cables from/to the amp). I'm still working on my own rack pedal looper to stay close to the amp simply controlled re...

Re: Marshall Astoria clearence sale - Europe

I don't think Marshall will stop making some amps on the UK. Clearly they're transforming with all the stories we heard - no more regularly production of Handwired amps unless ordered, Astoria seems to be over , I've read the 2555x won't be sold anymore at least on the USA , key members have quit li...

Marshall Astoria clearence sale - Europe

Guitar Guitar UK store is selling out the Astoria range for crazy low prices - for example you can buy a Custom head for 1000 GBP , half of the retail price.

Re: Poll: Tube or Digital?

Tube is a pleasure, digital is a necessity. Ok i'll bite, why is digital a necessity? I think it's a necessity for many for different reasons: - space - versatility - reliability - price and lifetime costs - tones can be recalled anywhere in time, great as a recording tool Digital offers many advan...

Eric Valentine - recording Slash AFD100

Here's a true masterclass on how to record guitars in studio. Eric Valentine, a top producer who did the Slash album demonstrates how he captured Slash. Not that I think the tone was particularly memorable on this album but you learn all these tricks. The moving mics remotely controlled.... I had th...

Re: Weber Attenuator for a 2266.....50 or 100 ?

According to their website, "If you are going to dime a 50 watt amp, you should choose a 100 watt attenuator". You want an attenuator to be able to crank your amp if you wish it, not just to put it a little louder on the master volume. The 50 watt version will always leave you guessing if / when it'...

Re: Fryette Powerstation - thoughts?

I use the PowerStation V2 on my NMV 2061x, and also with my 2266c and Class 5 NMV amps. It is expensive but I don't regret the investment at all. Tone loss seems to be very minimal. For me I love it and it's a keeper. I don't know how well or not the PowerStation works with a master volume equipped...
