Had A Wee Look inside my 2266C

As the title says , hadn't looked in the back to see what tubes were in there , still the original Marshall ones in both preamp and output [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY] . The KT 66s are both kinda loose whee the glass meets the base too . I've not owned it too long as I've said in other posts so since it...

I have the same pedal, I like it, and it works well as a booster with the gain turned down and volume cranked.

Cool mate yep not a bad pedal for the money , thinking it's gonna sound really good with the amp cranked

Boosted VM

Hi again all . Been using my 2266c for a couple of months now and I'm still loving it . Today I bought a cheap Joyo Vintage Overdrive pedal which is a TS808 clone . Must say it does work great with the amp , in ldr it's good just to go from a nice clean tone to good crunch without a huge volume step...

Re: New 2266 combo owner

Good on ya, ha ha I was gutted as listened to Maiden, Jovi, Zepp, AC/DC, Slash and forever heard about the Marsall roar, didn't really know much about tube amps and was my first Marsall, remeber plugging in Back to the Future style and turning gain up....massive disappointment, irony is I don't pla...

New 2266 combo owner

Well I guess this amp isn't for everyone if it's high gain you want there are loads of others amps that do way more . I had a peavey 6505 before this and yep it was a gain monster but that was it , the amp didn't offer anything more for me . The vintage modern has a great gain sound and cleans to ar...

Tiboy wrote:Bigboss. I tried you settings last night with the LP. Meh. But today with the SG, it sounded great. I did cheat at times by using the Sl Drive/EP Booster/Suhr KokoBoost in various combinations.
Cool I'm glad you liked them . I'm new to the amp so am open to suggestion too on settings etc

Re: New 2266 combo owner

Great post there Lou . Yea combo bashing is a favourite past time in some places I guess . I'll try your kossof settings . I actually got my 2266 c for a bargain £280 here in the UK and it's in excellent condition . I just had to buy it at that price http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/26/b5e8be...
