I've noticed this recently, and attribute it to the smart meter on my water pipes in the basement. It emits a cellular RF pulse every several seconds. Doesn't occur when I move the amp further away from the smart meter, so it's not the amp:

I'm down with Epi, but I'm also down with Fender MIM - both are great guitars. Based on looks though, the eternally unforgivable Epi headstock is enough to make me go Fender. But both are built, and can play and sound great. But if you were to add in Squier? I'd say NFW Batman. Those are too Walmart...
