Tuesday my Conqueror 5 came in the mail and I gotta say, I'm really really impressed. :clap https://scontent-iad3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/v/t1.0-9/12794423_10208662045337681_120418996043345947_n.jpg?oh=a05a6a6183d5cd1e68d0ef8358b67784&oe=5766BC3E I got a chance to play it at the house and also g...
Just saw where Reverb.com has 25% off of all Panama guitar amps with the code " XLOCO25X " until tomorrow (2/25/16). I've always wanted to try the little 5 watt Conqueror, and for $229 shipped, I couldn't pass it up. I'll report back on the tone when it arrives. :bgrin Link: 25% Panama Amps Reverb.c...
I gotta say, when the big reveal ended up being a digital modeling amp, I was so bummed. Then I found out it sounded pretty good and was stupid cheap, and now I'm actually kinda pumped for this amp. I've never got into modeling because I never thought they did a good inbetween slight break up sound....
Here's a great article Celestion put out on the power rating of their speakers: Power Rating Article I recall watching a fairly recent NAMM interview where the rep from Celestion said they still rate their speakers pretty conservatively, so they design it to where any 25 watt rated amp will run for ...
I've never tried a Kemper, but I've always wanted to. Seems like a great idea with a lot of people singing it's praise.
I did go to a local show once where one of the guitar players had a Kemper. I didn't realize it was a Kemper until after the first set, so that's a good sign, lol.
I bought the JHS Prestige boost on Reverb.com the other day, and I must say, I'm impressed. It really clarifies your sound by adding some top end shimmer and a little reinforcement on the low end. Past 9 o'clock it boosts your amp into a pleasingly balanced crunch or light lead tone. Anything past n...
Thanks guys! :Thumbs It always saddens me how little hands on experience there seems to be with this amp, especially when it comes to live performances. I've read far too many reviews about it being nothing more than a bedroom amp. I always question if the person has actually played one, because the...
This is what I consider somewhat of a guide to the Marshall Class 5. I began this as a response to a forum question and as I got going, decided I would do an all out review/guide to the amp since it was so long. Take this for what it’s worth. I often see questions from people wanting to try or buy t...
I just ran across this little guy. I can't find a whole lot on it other than a handful of videos. Anybody have any experience with it? The first clean/edge of break up sound in the video is gorgeous. The overdrive doesn't do much for me though, lol. It may be because he rolled the the volume and ton...
Hi, I'm new to the guitar world, I started to play guitar only in 2013. Since, I'm a bedroom rocker, I had hard time to find all the 50th anniversary 1watters amps in Canada. When I asked my dealer, he said that they were almost presale before they even got to Canada. With that in mind, why Marshal...
I think yours is a very well thought out post. I think you are an exception to the rules for your age. Many younger players are looking for a more modern high gain tone. Hell, that is what I prefer. I also think what really bit Marshall in the ass was the 90's. Marshall didnt do anything wrong. It ...
Very interesting to read everyone's opinions on the direction Marshall is going. I thought I'd add my 2 cents here. I believe I would be considered to be in Marshall's "target" demographic when it comes to the way their marketing is now going. I'm 22 years old, I love music and I love the iconic "br...
That's a pretty interesting amp, kind of curious about the Tone knob if you already have bass, mid, & treble control. Oh wait a min, I guess the tone knob is for the reverb? That and how does software control a tube amp? http://www.laney.co.uk/images/full/Panel_V1_copy.jpg I have a Laney VC15 that ...
