90s Fender solid state amps had a decent clean. I think of Princeton '65, and other Silverface styled amp. I think they would work nicely for battery powered applications (one man band, etc). They did not handle overdrive so well btw.
I belive you can have a fair amount of power peaks from such amplifier, more than two times the "musical" power rating. In such circumstances the Reaper is first to bite the dust due to lower power rating.
I do have Marshall Major phones. Picked them because I couldn't find better for the price. No reason for hate as far as I can see... They are just trying to stay profitable. Even good bands die without merchandise...
I prefer Marshall Major. They separate you and workplace quite fine and are not too expensive. Unless you want to play music all the way up (which I don't recommend) you should be fine. Many larger headphones I tested have worse separation. Some a lot worse.
Sometimes I swap my sound device in windows and set it to my recording interface. Whatever changes I make in standard widows volume control stay saved. Even after I change my sound device back to computer onboard device. I have to reset it manually in my recording interface settings panel. Maybe it ...
I was tracking drums lately (unfortunately don't have money/space for real drums) using Abbey Roads Modern Drummer. DW Collectors sample. We were tuning the sound (monitors quite loud) and when we finished, the guy had a warm-up. I was sitting on the bed (my bedroom = my studio) and I feel the whole...
Hi guys. I am producing my 2nd project and it will be the first project I will actually mix. I will prolly leave mastering to someone else, just cause it should work best. So I was looking out for a pair of studio nearfield monitors. My room is untreated (yet) and I used Wharfedale Diamond 8.2 for p...
This goes to the Silver Jub which is set to clean on neck pickup and very slight hint of crunch on bridge pickup (which has slightly more gain). All these pedals have a bit of overdrive themselves, Blues Breaker is to kick them into solo mode. Vox inside has been replaced with CryBaby Classic. I tun...
My pedalboard. Different tones, mostly some kind of drive & hint of delay.
The "Vox" delay has guts from Crybaby Classic. Bluesbreaker is used in boost mode. Both Satchurator channles are used.
