Re: Exact Measurement for 2266 Head Back Panel Grill

I first assumed this was metric, but measurements make more sense with English units. Here's what I got for my 2466 (pretty sure 2266 is the same, but maybe someone can verify): Length = 27 1/8 inches Height = 6 3/8 inches Screw holes are 1/4 inch from left/right edges, and 5/8 inches from top/bott...

Exact Measurement for 2266 Head Back Panel Grill

Hello, I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to take exact measurements of the back panel grill that protects the tubes for a 2266 head please. Height and length. And possibly where the screw holes start at the top and the bottom locations, but that's not a biggie if not. I just need some ...

Re: 2266C Issue

Those are very low notes you are playing. Thr low frequencie vibrations and crackling could also indicate a loose conection or component. With a bit of patience those can usually be found. If it is a short in the cricuitry, that is more complicated and probably needs a tech. In a pinch, as a very t...

Re: 2266C Issue

Depending on the type of DeOxit you will need to use a different approach. If you use the D5 stuff with the solvent it needs to thoroughly dry before reapplying power or you stand the possibility of arcing something. You can either spray it into the sockets or apply it to the tube pins and work the...

Re: 2266C Issue

Have you tried cleaning all the contact points i/e pots, jacks, tube sockets, any board to board connectors? There is also a possibility it could be a bad solder joint. I had a similar issue with a Fender Dual Showman that would crackle like that only on the B note of the low E and A string. After ...

Did you try a new cable and different guitar?

Check that first or everything in your chain before the amp.
Yes I did and I was plugged straight in. Thanks

2266C Issue

Hi, the issue started at band practice. I figured since it had 10 year old power tubes, that would've been the issue. I replaced all of the tubes with new ones and it's properly biased. The problem still persists. [IMG] Any idea what could be going wrong here? I was holding the phone in one hand an...

Re: 2266C Effects Loop

It changes the level of the signal going out from the loop to the pedals. -10db is much lower than +4db. It is normally used when going from stomp boxes to rack units but depending on what is in your loop the higher level might work better. It won't hurt anything to try it. See how it sounds. I'll ...

Re: 2266C Effects Loop

I also could have something to do with the configuration of the loop. VM's use fet's in the loop. How fet's are affected by impedance's from length of cable, pedal makeup, ect may be very different than loops that use tubes or opamp's. Have you tried changing the loop level switch? I just use the -...

2266C Effects Loop

I have little experience or knowledge regarding effects loops. Since I've had the 2266X, I've learned that my delay sounds best through the loop. So, last week I used an effects loop for the first time. Not knowing if a true bypass pedal or buffered pedal would work best, I decided to use my old Bos...

Re: 2266C Compression - Mush - Neck Pickup

I think ( i may be wrong) what you are describing could be blocking distortion. This occurs when the grid becomes too positive in relation to the anode and it sounds like crap. Too much input will do this. A 6100 has a low frequency compensation switch on the input and if that is off and you are us...

Re: 2266C Compression - Mush - Neck Pickup

May be you already have it sorted but is the neck pickup height optimally adjusted. Just a thought :think Yes it is Steve, thanks. I don’t have a chance to try today, but I’m thinking maybe run the detail higher and back off the pedal gain. I also tried an Fulltone Octafuzz pedal and it did the sam...
