Re: Super 100JH or JTM 45 100

Dude, This is the most difficult question I have ever encountered on a forum. There is no right (or wrong) answer. You have a Super100JH (Which is the only amp I have ever played thru that induces "ear-gasm". But I have only witnessed another person playing thru a 45/100 and while it sounded like pu...

Bose Cab Rewiring

I just came across 2 Old Bose cabs. They kinda have a different Wiring than what I've seen before (Either that or I'm just making it complicated) But it's built for 8x 4" speakers on one side and 1x 4' speaker on the other. (No speakers or wiring came with it tho) What I was wondering tho, Does anyo...

Octave-up pedal...

Does anyone know of an inexpensive octave-up pedal? I cant afford the Dunlop Octavio, and the boutique models I keep finding are even more expensive. It would be nice to find one without a fuzz effect built in, but either way is fine! Thanx in advance 4 any help!

Re: THE TIME HAS COME!!!

The Rogue actually sounds great! the guy who owned it before the guy I bought it from upgraded the tuners and fixed the truss rod, so it plays great! I'm still thinking about scalloping the fretboard, that would add a bit of a unique touch to it! BTW for those who would like to try this (and whose p...

THE TIME HAS COME!!!

I'm gonna put together a sitar/guitar! (or rather, modify a guitar to be an electric sitar) Anyhoo, I have my candidate! A Jay Turser Tele-style with a blue paisley design. (it b pretty) I've got my 3 saddle tele bridge, but that's all so far. I'm trying to find those buzz saddles now in a place tha...

Re: Experimental Transformer Question

never thought of it like that...I suppose solid state amps are made to take care of the reliability issue, but, as Steve said, at the cost of sound and feel. I suppose a piezoelectric transformer would probably be more reliable than what is already in valve amps, but at the same time it wouldn't sou...

Experimental Transformer Question

Not that I will be trying to implement this anywhere, but I was curious about something. I found some information about quartz and how it maintains such a perfect frequency (at least when it was used in computer technology). So I looked into this a bit more (I have no life :smash ) And read about pi...

Bugera 1960 Mod

I've recently acquired 2 Bugera 1960 heads, which sound great! But, I want to modify one, and my initial idea was to put a PTP board (from Ceriatone *prepares self for swift kick in the balls*) but then realised that maybe I would have to change some components to accomodate the 150 watt power secti...

Re: Marshall's 1987XPW Paul Weller combo amp

Besides the obvious cosmetic differences, what is the difference between this amp and a normal 50w plexi combo? (btw That's me inquiring on the "Lead & Bass" aspect of this amp)
