Re: I tryed the vintage modern for the first time today

The only thing that annoyed me was i know its supposed to be based on a jtm45 and sond very plexi like. It sounded slightly fuzzy and only had half of that classic plaexi like crunch. Is this just due to the master being on 1.5 or does it sound quite fuzzy ( not bad fuzzy ) and doesnt have the plex...

Re: P 90 pickups

What do you guys think of P90 with the VM. :?: I want a Les Paul 1956 resissue SO BAD so I can have that P90 growl... I'd give my left one for a 56, heck, I've had kids so they could both go  I've been tempted to get a set of Bare Knuckle Missisippi Queens to put in my Flying V as an exper...

One of the criteria Paul specified for this pedal was that it must be very low noise because that was the main problem he had with other EQ brands. Should be a very usable EQ indeed! Simpler is always better. :) Eeeexceeellleeent!!! (In best Monty Burns voice) Sounds like it may be the go, i...

Hey SNW, When do you plan on getting one?, I'd love to hear a review. I've tried a Boss GE-7 EQ (it was all I could get a hold of) and while it certainly broadened the range of my 2266, the actual quality is patchy. The Detox is actually the sort of pedal I was looking for for my VM. I just find the...

Hey SPR, In very un-rock and roll fashion, I'm doing a degree (Management/Psychology) part time while trying to juggle work, 2 teenagers and life in general... Anyway, I've pulled out my VM again after putting it in storage for a while. It frustrated the hell out of me not being able get exa...

Re: I miss the Vintage Modern

If you get another 2466 maybe you should think about the modification route rather than the new amp route. When you find an amp with the right basic tone but lacks in other areas for your tastes, then get it personalized. :) It's also got to be cheaper. I dread to think how much you've spent on the...
