Re: So how are the Bugera Marshall clones?

I def agree that there is no true substitution but I was just curious how they technically compare from a tone, feel and build quality perspective compared to the amps they are "based on".

Marshall Power Amps?

I am curious about the Marshall Power Amps that are no longer in production and power amps in general. I know there were 3 Marshall versions - 20, 50 and 100 watts. Other manufacturers like Carvin, Mesa and Engl still make them. I understand that you need to couple these with a pre-amp like a Marsha...

So how are the Bugera Marshall clones?

I'm not planning on getting one but I know there are 2 Bugera Marshall clones (The 1960 & 1990) and I'm just curious how they match up against their real Marshall counterparts as far as tone, feel and build quality. I've seen a few videos by that Tone King guy and they seem interesting.

Re: Preordered Mine...

I have a basic question about this amp. There is a switch on it that says #34/AFD. Any time I have read anything about the infamous AFD recording sessions I remember seeing that Slash used a S.I.R. Marshall that was designated #39. What is #34 and from a technical standpoint, what happens internall...

Re: My new JMD1 50 watt head - New to Forum

its not really a tube amp- if thats what u r lookin for. it uses digital tube technology in order to get all of those amps to fit into the one amp. This is def not a Marshall Valvestate or Line6 Spider Valve. I owned both at one point and sold them. I currently own a DSL and play through a JVM and ...

Re: My new JMD1 50 watt head - New to Forum

Seems like everyone who owns one likes this amp. Obviously I don't own everyone of the amps that this amp emulates so I can't say how close it is to the real thing, but the most important thing is that most of the models sound great on their own and are tweakable. Def not "solid-state" sounding at a...

Re: My new JMD1 50 watt head - New to Forum

Thanks for the info! I also want to add that I have also been recording direct from the emulated line out into pro-tools and I am highly impressed with the tone I get. I have used a few other amps that have line outs and the sound tends to be thin and almost fake sounding. The JMD really does it all!

My new JMD1 50 watt head - New to Forum

Hi all I just joined this forum today and this is my first post. Just wanted to comment about the JMD1 50 watt head. I picked one up about 2 weeks ago along with a 2x12 Avatar cab with V30s. I have also owned a DSL50 for about 5 years as well as a 1x12 MG100dfx combo. The DSL goes through a 4x12 Vin...
