Who else had to rub one out after watching all these demos?

Re: Gilmour to Auction More Than 120 Guitars

What a gesture, to give back to humanity which has enriched Gilmour to the point where he doesn't even need these guitars any more. Those reserve prices are waaaaaaay too low. Strat serial number #0001, come on, that's worth at least $1M. The Black Strat will fetch north of $3M. By comparison, Hendr...

Re: Marshall studio vintage Plexi

I can proudly say with hand on heart that I, Papus, pioneered this new wave of 20w Marshall amps more than a decade ago with my Papus Signature 2061x.

I bless this venture and all who see the light

Re: Used market of Marshall amps

Agreed. 100w and 50w amps will crash on the used market. There are other hidden costs, too. A quartet of power valves is expensive. And it looks like Marshall is rating the Studio Series power output very conservatively - that will save on costly cable maintenance. A pair of EL34’s can easily pump o...

Re: Jimmy Page Signature Amp

Jimmy tells some big stories to cover his tracks.....
The Led Zeppelin Supro is probably very much intact and functional.

Re: Marshall has no shame

Those vertical 2x12’s look like they would fit nicely in the passenger seat of a medium sized car.
That’s a win in my books

Re: Marshall 2019 namm

I predict you're going to start seeing a lot of those 20w heads sitting on top of the new 2x12 vertical style cabs at smaller gigs.
2x12 is the perfect match for 20w.
Marshall scoring goals again.

Re: Marshall has no shame

Well done Marshall, this is a very positive announcement.
This is the first product in a decade which has made me toy with the idea of retiring my Papus signature 2061x......

Re: Marshall has no shame

I wonder what the orange and green ribbons represent...... In any media production, every single detail counts. Everything in that ad would have been approved and scrutinised by a committee. Same goes for the Gillette propaganda piece - make no mistake, the people behind that video were fully aware ...

Re: Marshall has no shame

A super-clean Marshall pedal platform would be a hit with a lot of players...... seems many people prefer getting their tone from pedals thesedays, although the likes of Gilmour and Fripp have been doing that since the late 1960's.....

Re: Marshall has no shame

Hopefully they're competitive with the offerings of Marshall's imitators who are beating them at their own game. We need FX loops, power scaling/bracketing, quality emulated direct recording outputs, etc. Origin is a step in the right direction, being "Modern Plexis" but still minimalist, now give u...

Re: Jimmy Page Signature Amp

Awesome.
Give it a few months after they hit the market, they'll be reverse-engineered and cloned for sure :)
Curious why he didn't strike a deal with Supro to manufacture these........ the Page signature Tele plus a signature Supro would have sold like hotcakes

Re: Marshall has no shame

Hopefully it's an anti-SJW Soy-repellent weapon, to purge the factory of all cuckery.
Wouldn't want to see Marshall go the way of Gillette, Proctor & Gamble, Nike, Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Star Trek, Doctor Who etc.
