Re: Introducing myself

Some where in that video I am hearing "Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll" by B.O.C. Your video was a great production, well done. Welcome to the VM forum. Yes, those two beats of Cities of Flame are pretty ingraved in my Revolution. I thought I've sent this replay but obviously it didn't go throug...

Re: Fun Poll - How Satisfied Are You With HDR?

Good poll subject. How about this Poll to run along with it....... What channel is used primarily with your playing? LDR HDR Both about the same Also, what is the deal with LS-2 and combining? You can combine the channels???? Cool.... Uh I see now that "combine" is a wrong verb. What I meant is tha...

Re: Fun Poll - How Satisfied Are You With HDR?

That HDR sound was the sound I was looking for, for a looooong time. So I got VM! Then I found out that it sounded like heaven in LDR. I tried my semiacoustic on LDR and wow. Another bonus! At the and, I connected LS-2 pedal in loop and started to combine both dynamic ranges for some songs. What to ...

Thank you!
I shot it and edited myself in my bedroom.
It doesn't sound good yet 'cause I recorded everything DI and used
amp and cab simulations.
The plan is to do it properly one day...
The band in video is virtual but I do play in real band as well!

Re: From heaven to hell

You are doing the right thing by getting the cab directed right at head level. People who do not do this do not know how they sound. But get up close to it before the projected sound is corrupted by the sonic imprint from the room (wall, floor, ceiling reflections and standing waves). The further y...

Re: Idea about sharing settings

Hi all, I really like the idea of the Marshall knobs as per Slashwannabe's front panel. Would it not be possible to have that as part of your avatar that is customisable to display your settings. That way, if you want your settings dispayed you simply fill out the V, P, B, M, T, B & D with numbers ...

Re: Introducing myself

Thanks! I am glad to be here!
I'm not real bassist more like spare bassist.
I have always loved that instrument but it turned out
that many of my bands needed me more on the guitar.
I'm turning 42 this month!

Re: Vintage Marshall 2266C - Buzz - On Power

VM can sound like weak main power supply connection. (This sound they always use in movies when wires are cut and flying around loose). That fuzzy sound "ZZZZ" is there even without guitar plugged in. Anyway, even it is sounding like electrical connection problem it still could be just mechanical vi...

Re: My Live rig and my studio/bedroom rig

Thanks! I try to avoid those who blame the rig. Once, the main fuse went off and we lost all power. I still blame myself 'cause I knew the circuit was overloaded. I like how I sound but I have to thank Vintage Modern for being finally 100% satisfied. Set up at home is kind a compromise with my wife....

Re: Voulume Control Solution

sikter- Thanks again so much. I don't have the Boss FS 5l box. Do I have to have that or can I just run the modified FS2's in/out into the back loop of the VM? But - I may have to have it to switch between the LDR and the HDR through the foot switch. Can/should I still use the regular foot switch t...

Re: Voulume Control Solution

That's pretty clever. So you're not actually using the VM's pedal for switching so everything is completely stock. If you weren't concerned with switching the reverb maybe you wouldn't even need anything but the LS-2 w/ added momentary switch. Maybe have to only plug it halfway (not sure if the tip...

Volume Control Solution

Hello! I just wanted to share a simple solution I came up with for adjusting volume ratio in between Low and High Dynamic Range. When we’re out and gigging we play both our own songs and some covers. VM is just perfect for my songs and in that case I use only one cable between my Gibson LP Standard ...
