Thanks for the circuit diagram. I wonder if it's as easy to implement as power scaling or if it has to be specifically designed around the amp it's used in.

6100's were built with the BEST circuit for this problem, the Low Volume Compensation. You don't need attenuation, you don't need power scaling, and it DOES NOT suck tone. This circuit totally kills ANY attenuator or power scaling dead in it's tracks. I'm curious about this low volume compensation....
