Re: Has Our Culture Hit a Dead End?

This year there will be a Frank Zappa hologram tour and ... yes I will be going. Extremly skeptical of the concept but it will consist of ALL former band members which I am sure all will be given room to express themself musically. I figure I will give it a chance - if the hologram part is disappoin...

Re: Video blog of my guitars

Just watched to whole video ... man oh man .. I am floored.
Really enjoyed it - you have a TON of beautiful guitars and it's nice to see you take care of them and handle them with the respect they deserve !

Re: Best Selling Pedals

Having quality built in effect that are usable is part of the value with units like the AXE. Personally I am a bit more picky with my Kemper. Delays - Kemper Reverb - Oceans 11 and Lexicon Plugin Chorus - Roland JC120 Flange phase - Kemper Compression - Kemper Vibe - Drybell You might be interested...

Re: Best Selling Pedals

6 out of the 15 overall was at one time in my possesion - none right now. The effects in my Fractal Units gives me all the options I would ever need. It was really fun buying and selling and trying out a ton of pedals when I was using amps. It's actually a relief to stay away ... a neverending hunt....

Re: NGD - Another Charvel GG

You can't help yourself, you are powerless against great guitars. Haha. I had this illness too, my PRS cured me. Great looking guitar man, speed demon I would bet. I really REALLY believe this Charvel will cure me too :roll Time will tell ... I can pretty much guarantee you that there will be no ne...

NGD - Another Charvel GG

In March this year I purchased a Charvel Guthrie Govan signature model. It did not take long before I ended up concluding that this was THE best guitar I have ever played. I have been using the guitar in 2 bands that both play in Eb. I want to have standard tuning when recording and playing at home ...

Re: AX8 vs Helix/Helix LT

I completely forgot that you can assign scenes to a foot switch! :loser Haha yes there will be many things you are going to forget and discover - endless possibilities. I have assigned Footswitch 1-4 for scenes. 1. Rhythm 2. Rhythm v different amp (amp Y) 3. Various effects added 4. Solo Footswitch...

Re: AX8 vs Helix/Helix LT

Your setup looks good and practical. I also started up with a few xtra pedals but I have eliminated them one by one and are now left with ONLY the AX8. The solo boost works great with the filter block - I use 3db as well - but I dont have it as an individual switch. I use scenes so when I trigger so...

Re: AX8 vs Helix/Helix LT

My advice is to get used to eq the PA to suit your needs. It's so important to optimise the eq for these units. Some people are disappointed with the sound until they get used to its requirements. Good luck with it. I look forward to hearing some clips you make. Thanks, Al... I've been watching a t...

Re: Axe-FX III

I also just got the AXEFX3 about 2 weeks ago. Amazing for direct recording and I'm coming from BIASFX. For direct recording I'm using Yamaha HS7 monitors. I just got a 2x12 cab and a Crown XLS1002 power amp to run it through the 2x12 (Veteran 30s) and initially I was underwhelmed. It sounded very m...

Re: NGD - PRS John Mayer

i seen these at NAMM last year when they were introduced. I cannot speak as to how they sound but the feel is BETTER than a Fender. Its a light guitar and the neck just feels like something Fender should have done. Its a little strange looking with the PRS headstock but overall it seemed to be a ve...

NGD - PRS John Mayer

I am so super happy with my Charvel Guthrie Govan signature - it's my main axe now and 90% off all my playing is done with that one. My PRS custom is collecting dust. I really like that guitar and there is now way in hell I would get rid of it if I didn't add the Govan signature to my smaller than e...
