I may try an OCD to add drive to the low range & then add the boost when soloing.

I think me and Livewire are doing the same thing. The OCD works beautiful in the low range, much more tone varience using the low range with this pedal.

What dynamic mode do you use mostly with the Vinatage Modern. I finds the best tones on the low dynamic range using a OCD pedal.

If you are going to move into the realm of boutique amps then you have to give Diezel consideration. There just isn't a amp that sounds as good as the Diezel Einstien IMO, of course they are about $4000.

The KT66's are by far my favorite power valves. I like the 6L6's better than the EL34s also.

This is how I have the 2466 set. However things really change up using the OCD and the volume on the guitar. The setting below gives me everything I could want.
