The tech replace master volume pot, the noise continues somewhat less. The tech says the master volume pot it's weak.

Re: I connect in 2466 a attenuator in a bad way

I try with others speakers, others guitars and wires. I have more tube amps. The noise is not normal.
Probably in future the noise will be high. I don,t know.
Today I assemby the amp. I play it two hours. The noise persist.

Re: I connect in 2466 a attenuator in a bad way

Hi. I remove the amp from chassis and the pcb power amp board and check all. I don't see anything wrong. Conections. Resistors. I try with other preamp valve.
All is fine.
Probably a diode .

Re: Popping Noise when I power down to standby

Hi. I have a tsl100. Two years ago i have the same problem. I think could be the zener diode from rear jack pcb. Check this Zd3 zd4 zd5 zd6. Are very weak. You can put two in paralel connection. Will be strong.

Re: New member! NAD! VM 2266 head!

Hi Jimmy. I also have a VM2466 and a TSL100. I love marshall tone. I think are two different amps for different musical styles. I use tsl with 4x12 celestion 75w (300w) and Vm with vintage cab from spain 4x12 Arial 15w (60w). The Vm sounds great underpowered speakers

Cheers
