Does anyone know if Brian Robbo Robertson used the G12 25 or the G12H 30 around when Live And Dangerous was recorded? To me it sounds more like the 25W than the 30W. Could he have used 25W 55hz Greenbacks. I know that was a bass cab. Was there ever a bass cab version with the G12H 30W in it? The 198...
Thanks Steve!
So the G12C is not a cross between a 25W and 30W Greenback. It´s more that the doping is different from the G12M then i guess. Doesn´t the V30 have a 444 cone? Isn´t that a bass cone?
Is the Celestion G12C in the Marshall Jimi Hendrix and Vintage Modern cabs a 55hz or 75hz speaker? Does the Celestion Vintage 30 use a 55hz bass or 75hz lead cone?
Some say they hear a difference running the amp on different ohms i don't. I believe if the mismatch isn't too big and as long as the ohm of the cabs is higher than the amp it will work ok. But you may check with this with a tech.
Your new Box really makes it look great Surf. It makes it look like a Marshall should and that's how Marshall should have made it. Just my opinion of course.
Ok. I'm a big Thin Lizzy fan and that is more like the G12M 25W i believe. Still i'm thinking of getting a 1960HW G12H 30W also. But if it's more like Jimmy Page with more top end maybe it's not really my style. I love the mids on the 25W Greenback. I like the Vintage 30's a lot also. I like a tone ...
This is quite good. You can hear how much toppier the G12H 30 is. But wonder why so many go for the 70th Anniversary G12H 30. It's different it has a different resonance frequenzie than the regular G12H 30.
Sorry i must be getting old. Wish i could try out a HW cab and hear it myself. On clips the 25W sounds crunchier probably because of more mids. The 30W do sound very Jimmy Page like. Wonder if he used the 55hz or 75hz?
