I have two Jems myself. Haven't really played that much with those on the VM. My preference is Gibsons. I find them to be very articulate on the VM.
I'll record a sample for you so you could hear for yourself.... heck i'll even do the same setting on a Gibson. I'll try to get it done later today.

Just seems to be something missing with the Fender in that clip, your playing is good but the tone does nothing for me. I am finding the same thing out with my amp and my Fender. I love what the Les Paul can do with the amp but when I take my Telecaster to it needs more punch, I have Budz pickups. ...

Have you tried moving the VM to a different room or location ?

I have heard a lot of raves of the OCD. I'm considering getting it ... but the Fulldrive 2 Mosefet has been on my radar as well.
Maybe i'll get em both :dance

I totally agree it's easier finding a good tone with Les Pauls ... I'll try to post a clips using Stratocasters ... once i'm able to dial in something useable .. hehe
