Yeah I agree. $199 for the 1x10 - $399 for the 2x12 and the head is $349. I think I paid more than that my old MG100DFX back in the day!!!

Those amps are monsters and in my experience, you're better off getting something like a Marshall DSL5C. It has a great effects loop and a line out/headphone out. I know its not the same thing but for bedroom/apt levels, I think the 1987 or 1959 are just too much. Thats just my opinion.

[/quote]All mine are combos but it would work either way. I just pull the chassis out. Mark the 4 holes on the rack shelf. Drill up to size. I use the existing screws that are used in the combo to install the chassis to the shelf. Then install it all in a rack and I isolate everything from touching....
