Re: Live Sound Setups

aristotle, Well sir, my band's set up is fairly unique and not really recommended for for anyone other well experienced sound engineers. My band is a 3-piece and we use no stage monitors (I despise the off axis tone added to the FOH mix by the speakers that face away from the audience, in that 200hz...

Re: My Low Wattage Quandary/Comparison?

santiall,
Sorry to be a pain, but one question I forgot to ask and you may know the answer to: Is there any chance/plan to offer the DSL5 as a head model? If so, I'm guessing that the impedance/transformer upgrade question would likely be addresed?
Thanks Again,
Gene

Re: My Low Wattage Quandary/Comparison?

santiall, I feel truly honored that my questions have elicited a response from you! :bgrin I mean that sincerely, not being a wise a$$! I would greatly appreciate if you could answer a couple of questions concerning the DSL5C, as the info I can find on the Marshall Amps website is somewhat conflicti...

Re: My Low Wattage Quandary/Comparison?

Gene, depending on the style of rock music (what else on a Marshall) the Class 5 does pretty good job. I find it to give a great old style cranked tone through a B cab of greenbacks. The B cab gives the extra bass, so that the bass can be turned down on the amp. I run the bass no higher than 9 o'cl...

Re: Live Sound Setups

aristotle, That's a really nice rig to start with. The thing about micing guitars is that first the PA needs to be well EQ'd to allow the vocal mics to sound pretty much like you want them with only minor tweaks to the individual channel EQ's. Then the guitars need to be at just barely enough stage ...

My Low Wattage Quandary/Comparison?

Well Folks, Here comes my second post and it will ilkely be kinda long! :help I'm on the quest for the ultimate low wattage amp setup, 5-ish watts, and yes, I will be gigging it! I much prefer always being able to have "MY SOUND" even if the volume is a little low, as opposed to having to "turn down...

Schematic For DSL5?

Hey All,
My first post and I have a couple questions:
A - Does anyone here have a schematic for a DSL5C?
B - I attempt to search for certain things and get messages telling me that I don't have permission to read, etc...... How do I get this permission?
Thanks All,
Gene
