Re: NGD! I blame the dog...

The funny thing about the "length" is that it is the same scale as a Les Paul (24.75"). What gives it the long feeling is the location of the strap button. On a LP, the strap button hits at around the 16th fret, so a good portion of the upper neck is inboard to your body. On the Firebird, the button...

Re: NGD! I blame the dog...

I had really wanted one of these a couple of years ago. I still do and if I buy another guitar I'd like it to be a firebird. It wouldn't be redundant to what I have. How are you liking the length of it. I had read some saying the guitar required "reach". I couldn't see me having an issue with that ...

Re: Marshall CODE 100 Heads BLOW OUT at $249

When I was checking out my 'Bird, I was plugged into a CODE. It's not a bad sounding amp for the money.

It's different and I can't put the thing down. It just feels right when I play it.

Re: NGD! I blame the dog...

I have never owned one, sounds like it is a bargain at 1k. I can see how you would not leave the store without it. The 2019 'Birds are going for $1999, so I feel pretty good about this. Having not bought a new Gibson since 1999, I can see why people are angry about finish related things on current ...

NGD! I blame the dog...

So this happened: https://i.imgur.com/nc4wUfP.jpg?1 It is a 2018 USA Firebird that was on clearance at GC. $1099 with hard case. :whoo I blame the dog because we went to Petco to buy him food. The wife said she wanted to check out the new DSW next door (shoes). I said okay and that we would check ou...

My AX8. I love going from Fender to Pexi to '800 to Recto with the press of a button.

I didn't know this... :loser I have lockers on my Schecter, so I'll keep this in mind when I do a re-string.

Re: Fractual Audio announces FM3 Amp modeler muti FX Floor unit

I bought my AX8 in December and this gives me no "buyers remorse." The pros are that it has the Ares software and it can function as an interface. However, to get it to the functionality of AX8 switching, you need to spend $500-700 on an outboard foot switch. Plus, due to thermal restrictions, it ha...

Re: Just bought the new SV20H and matching SV112

I heard from my local dealer that Marshall can't keep up with demand. My dealer had one Studio JCM800 and one Studio Plexi, both with cabs. Both sold within 24 hours. This is a good thing for Marshall. It's possible the Studio Series has saved the company. I'd like to know how the JCM fanboys are t...

Re: Yngwie - Blue Lightening Review

I like the words that he's saying, but really he just can't get away from playing the licks he's played for the last 40 years. Only the backing has changed here. Sad, because he could write Real melodies if he would change his mind set, and get away from endless improvision. ^^^This... Yngwie has a...

Re: Low Wattage vs High Wattage Amps...

What kills me is the constant regurgitated debates out there about low vs high like it's akin to manhood. I don't see one better than the other or somebody being less of a player on a 5 watter. So true. It is one of the reasons why I left the 800 group I was in on FB. There was a guy bragging about...
